Just pulled out of a barn where it sat for 20 years! A fuel line, attery, nd she starts and runs well. Originally had a 289, as fitted with a built out 390 and bigger transmission in the 1980s, riven little until 1996 when the pinion went on the stock 8 inch rear and the car was put away. Was started every once in a while in storage. Pinion is still bad, ar starts right up but cannot be driven until the rear is repaired. Has air shocks in the rear to lower and raise the rear end. Interior is excellent, issing front carpets only, nd the floors show nothing but slight surface rust. Almost completely rust free, xcept for one area behind the passenger side door down low, nd a little bubbling on the pillar above the passenger door. Roof was dented from a barn collapse, nd will need some bondo and paint, he rest of the paint is excellent. Tires are dry rotted, old air, ut need replacement. Minor surface rust underneath the car, ot much. Fuel tank was replaced when the engine was changed, n either side of the fuel tank are metal panels that look to have some minor rust-through. Rear bumper and exhaust tips are aftermarket ones and are rusty. Front bumper is great. Car looks great, OT a rust bucket. if you repair the rear and touch up the roof, ou can drive it as is, ut I think it is more likely the next owner will do more with it. Engine fires right up, ut the metal fuel line from the tank had a blockage, nd has been followed with a flexible line, ust to get the car running, more permanent fix would be easy. Engine was seriously worked...has a Megacam, olley double pumper carb, olly manifold, nd much more, eputedly over 500hp, ut was made to be streetable, he idle is lumpy but it will idle forever. Passenger's seat needs to be bolted down all the way, ome of the nuts that go underneath were missing. Mileage of 24k is beleived to be true and accurate, or real.It's the real deal here, t's not a project car, ut one that needs just the rear end repair(and maybe brakes, ave not tried them) to be drivable. Lights and horn and wipers work. Aside from the engine change, nd body and paint work done back in the eighties, t is essentially untouched.Terms are deposit via paypal within 48 hours and the balance in CASH when you come to pick up the car within seven days. It will need a flatbed. Please...do not bid unless you have the cash on hand, nd understand you are BUYING a car, ot the right of first refusal, r a holding spot...we just got a negative feedback from a guy who never paid for a car but strung us along...the next guy showed up promptly with full payment and is delighted with the car...soooo....if you are not serious, on't take up my time or yours, he car is awfully sweet and will make someone very happy, ut you do need to have the money in hand and the ability to follow through promptly. No offense to the other 99 percent of people on Ebay who are just great.Car can be seen in person by appointment in Franklin Lakes, ew Jersey, y all means come and see if before you bid and see that it is as described, e encourage you to do so.
