CALIFORNIA CAR 1928 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup The car was completely gone through and updated in 2014. This is the personal car of the owner of Drifters Garage, br> Ron Stahr, n Escondido, alifornia. Here is a link to Drifters Garage "driftersgarage.com" Take a look at some of Ron's projects. Drifters Garage is a fabricator & builder of drag race cars & street rods. Ron has over 40 years of experience in this field. He has worked for and with some of the best known chassis builders from the 1950's. Don Long is one of the most notable. This 28 Roadster Pickup is Ron's show car. He displays it at car shows to showcase his expertise and craftsmanship This car has been in his family since the 1950's He has decided to sell the car to make room for another personal project Here is another link to more of Ron's work "pikore.com/driftersgarage" The car has an all steel original body, ed & fenders except the steel fabricated hood & original steel 32 ford grill shell The body, ed & fenders were stripped to bare metal All defects repaired correctly bringing all the sheet metal back to original factory specs Then several coats of primer were applied and block sanded Ron sprayed several coats of Hot Rod black color as a final finish coat After drying the car was pin striped by hand The frame is by Total Cost Involved that has been slightly modified It is powder coated satin black. Here is a link to TCI "totalcostinvolved.com" On that website you can see the quality of the frame used in this build The car has a powder coated dropped front axle with a stainless four bar front suspension Steering is by Unisteer rack & pinion Bilstein front shocks and Wilwood front disc brakes The rear end is a completely rebuilt 8 inch ford with a 3.70 gear ratio Rear end has been powder coated satin black with all new drum brakes Rear suspension is a chromed 4 link with Aldan coil over shocks All the brake lines and fuel lines are new stainless throughout the car The electrical wiring is by Painless wiring The motor is a 350 Cubic inch small block Chevrolet crate motor from GM It has an MSD electronic ignition Chevrolet BowTie intake manifold with a 650 cfm Edelbrock carburetor The exhaust headers are HPC coated Sanderson block huggers There are dual Flowmaster mufflers that exit rear under the bed The transmission is a new 700R4 overdrive from Chevrolet BowTie with a Lokar shifter The Guages are all from Classic instruments in the bomber style The gas and brake pedals are from Lokar Lakester series pedals The steering column is a Flaming River tilt model with a 40 ford steering wheel The wheels are Vintique smoothies powder coated green with 1940 style center caps and beauty rings New Firestone tires on all four corners 175/70/14 on the front & 225/75/15 on the rear This is an opportunity to buy and own a custom built show car / street rod directly from the man who professionally built the car This car is built correctly with high quality parts Never raced or mistreated Just driven to and from local car shows This car is sold as is where is with no warranty written expressed or implied.The buyer is responsible for cost of shipping or transportation with all fees and duties incurred by them.
