Fresh from the barn, 974 Ford Maverick. 55,XXX Miles,250 1V straight six, utomatic.Owned by father, hen son. At first glance the car appears a little rough, ut I can assure you its solid in all the right places. Car has previously been laid up for the past 22 years. Car has rust in some of the usual spots; passenger front fender extension, ear lower quarter, river side lower front fender. Drivers door is a little beat up on the edge, ore then likely from opening and closing it in a tight spaced garage. The trunk, loors, ubframe, hock towers, adiator support, attery box and firewall are all SOLID as a rock, o cancer or rot. Both doors close nicely. Paint is scratched and shows wear. Mechanically speaking, removed the gas tank, lushed the 22 year old varnish out of it, nstalled a new sending unit, hrew in a battery and fired her up. Its runs decent and sounds healthy. Slight exhaust leak.I would still recommend rebuilding the carburetor & replacing all the usual things that go bad from sitting this long. The car goes into all gears, nd transmission feels reactive, tookit for a short ride, nd other then 4 flat spotted bias ply's and sticking drum brakes it seems to drive straight. I have a clean PA title, owever it is not in my name. The previous owner is dead and gone. It will be the buyers responsibility to find a way to get it transferred. Sold As-Is Where-Is.
