Description of 1976 Ford Torino |
Up for sale is a 1976 Ford Torino Elite, actory/stock condition 351 Windsor V8, V carb, uto transmission (C4? not sure), actory Tach, C, oonroof, ed interior, lean title. I drove the car home 10 years ago and began taking it apart to fix all the little things and slowly got less timeto work on it and eventually had to relocate for work so all progress stopped and here it sits. Restoration began and stopped at the point where its basically a bare body on the frame. Odometer on instrument cluster shows 96,858. I'm not sure if its rolled or that's the actual. Drivetrain and chassis are all still intact and will start and run/idle with a jump of the battery as its at the end of its life and a little gas in the carb. Brakes operate as they should. I have all the parts emblems, lass, rim and interior minus headliner. The front dash fell off a shelf in the garage and broke into two pieces, racked about where center of car would be. The windshield does has a crack in it but all the other glass is good. Overall the body is straight with minimum rust, ith the worst part of the exterior around the rear wheels and lower quarters. There is some body filler and fiberglass in those areas. It originally had a full vinyl roof which was removed and I did not plan on putting one back on. There was some area rusted through around the back window where water would collect due to bad spots in the vinyl but they too are minimal. The floor pans are very solid with the worst part of the floorsbeing where to rear wheel wells meet the floor to go up over the rear axle at the point the rear seat and back come together. The moonroof switch does not work and has to be manually cranked open/closed. Ifyou need any more info/pictures feel free to ask.Car must be picked up locally. I suggest trailing the car to its next home. I realize this time of year can get busywith families and dependent on the weather so I am flexible and willing to work out a pick up plan.
