Description of 1976 Ford Thunderbird

1976 Ford Thunderbird, xcellent original condition.
My dad bought this vehicle about 7-8 years ago from the original owner out of Missouri. It had been garage kept, nd still is. He has replaced the A/C compressor, he carburetor, nd put a new vinyl top on it. The replacement top is the original equipment/grain/color as the original. The car runs and drives great, he engine and exhaust are quiet, o forth. The car has an aftermarket 8-track stereo, ut is otherwise all original. He could probably dig up a few 8-tracks somewhere if you want them.
Thesixth generation of the Ford Thunderbirdwasa largepersonal luxury coupethat was produced byFordfor the 1972 to 1976 model years. A counterpart of theLincoln Continental Mark IV,this generation of the Thunderbird was the largest ever produced; weighing in at over 5,000 pounds, hey are also the heaviest coupes ever produced by Ford (aside from its Mark IV counterpart).
1976 was the last model year for the sixth generation. Some items that were standard in 1975 were moved to the options list. Some items returning to the option list included, M/FM stereo, ront cornering lights, nd tinted glass. Additionally the rear windows became stationary. This move was to keep cost down and was also shared by the 1976 Mark IV. The 1976 luxury groups were crème and gold ($793), nd lipstick trim ($546). New options included driver's lighted vanity mirror ($43), ower lumbar drivers seat, $86), M/FM stereo search radio ($298), nd AM/FM stereo radio with Quadra sonic 8-track tape player ($382). An auto dimmer was added to the autolamp option. Base price was $7,790 with a total of 52,935 cars produced.
