Description of 1962 Ford Other Ranch Wagon |
I have relisted this car with a lower reserve. I have for auction a one of a kind custom built 1962 Ford sedan delivery. This car was built from a 4 door Ranch Wagon with glass. I removed the glass in the rear quarters and rear doors and replaced it with sheet metal. The rear doors have been welded shut and the door opening filled in and smoothed out. Powering this unique vehicle is a totally rebuilt 5.0 L Ford small block with a mild cam, luminum intake, ew Quick Fuel Technologies 4 bbl carb and shorty headers. the power is delivered by a rebuilt Ford C6 auto tranny with a shift kit. It has new dual exhaust with magnaflow style mufflers. This drivetrain has only about 500 miles on it since the rebuild. Stopping power comes from front disc brakes from a 78 Thunderbird and new brake components. It has a Oldsmobile tilt column, hunderbird bucket seats, Tahoe console and a cd, adio installed in the consolewith an auxillary port for Iphone or MP3 player. This unique car rolls on 20" aftermarket rims with very good rubber. it has a new all aluminum aftermarket radiator that keeps it cool very well. I included a picture of it with a visor I had on it, took it off after a while because it was rattling and annoying me. I will include it in the purchase if the buyer wants it. I also included a picture of it with the original steel 15" rims on it. I THINK I still have them and if the buyer was wanting those INSTEAD of the 20" rims I would Discount the buyer $400 and I would keep them. Unlike a factory sedan delivery this car will haul 5 passengers due to the original back seat being left in, r you can fold it down and haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood or a bunch of cargo. The back seat will clean up nice with no rips, he "dirt" that is on it is some mud dauber nest that got on it when it was in storage. I totally forgot to clean it since I always left the back seat folded down. I did clean a small section of it for the picture so you can see that it will clean up nicely, was running out of daylight when I took the pics so I didn't have time to clean the whole seat. The "patina" isrecreated and not real rust so it won't rust. The frame is very solid with no repairs made and the body andfloors have had the rust replaced with metal, his was not a very rusty car when I bought it. I did replace the rear right quarter panel due to some previous damageand cut out a couple small pieces of rust and replaced with clean metal. This car could be slicked down with minor smoothing and blocking and painted if you are not into the rat rod thing. This car runs great and drives down the highway very nicely. There is some rust in the spare tire storage compartment. I am using my wife's Ebay acct. because I have listed enough cars this year to cause the listing fee to increase beyond what I feel is a fair listing fee. I have 100% feedback as a buyer and seller on my acct. which is... electra-fan and you can look it up and see for yourself. I am not a good typist and don't like doing it so there is a lot more I can tell you but please message with questions and I will answer them promptly and honestly. Bidders can also provide their phone # and I will call them back and discuss in detail. This is aunique car that would cost WAY more than my reserve to have custom built.I am an honest seller so bid with confidence. On Oct-18-15 at 08:35:59 PDT, eller added the following information:
