This is a hotrod and not a trailer queen .. cruise all day long 1948 all steel Ford coupe powered by a small block chevy motor. Runs real strong. The transmission is a chevy turbo 400 with a shift kit, owering thru to early gm rear (part number matches up to 1959 corvette and others) with street gears. The paint is in pretty nice overall condition and shines beautifully and she gets a lot of attention when Im cruising around town. There are blemishes/chips here and there from the normal wear of driving but she shows very nicely and gets compliments where ever I go. The Frame and undercarriage are solid and clean like the rest of the car. The rear half of the frame has coil overs with shocks and trailing arms. Has a complete exhaust with tips slightly past rear of bumper. Mufflers are cherry bombs. Front control arms have urethane or rubber bushings. Trim and chrome is in overall nice shape. Roll up windows, ood vent opens and closes Front end control arms are not oem and rack and pinion steering along with the front disc brakes makes her car handle and stop unlike any ordinary 48 Ford. Please keep in mind there is no powering steering. But not hard to drive at all without it. The interior was tastefully done in black and red leather along with the red headliner being in really nice condition. The trunk is clean and detailed with custom black and red panels that match the interior. Lots of $money$ invested in this car. Here are are some of the mods that where done. Aftermarket heater on passenger side under dash True / actual miles unknown, intage title not required to show miles in IL Brand new balanced nitto nt555 tires at all 4 corners with new flush mounted valve stems fronts - p255/45zr17 rears - p285/40zr17 New rear wheel brake cylinders Foose Wheels Lokar shifter Fatman (?) front end rack and pinion Front disc brakes with new chrome dual reservoir master cylinder and braided front brake lines IDIDIT Steering column tilt wheel CD player New gauges Detailed engine compartment Holley carb and intake HEI distributor Electric fan Electric wipers Custom headlamps - 59 international Louvered hood Battery relocated in trunk Tinted windows GM REAR casting number3725899 brand new QA1 coil over shocks in rear. 12 position adjustments - less than 20 miles Without any hesitation at all I take her out anywhere and it's such a blast to drive, erfect for cruise nights, tc.
