Description of 1967 Ford Mustang Big Block 4-Speed S-Code |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
1967 Mustang Coupe Rare Factory S code 390GT 4V Engin, -SpeedTrans, " Rear End. This is a running and driving Project Car with96,627 miles.This car has the exterior trim package, urn signal hood, ower steering, actory tachometer gauge cluster, nd magnum 500 wheels.This car run, rive, nd stops but has been in storage since 2008 and will need some Maintenance / repair work and cleaningif you want to use it for a driver. I blead the brakes and they worked good when I drove the car around the neighborhood at low speedsbut I have not had it out on the Hi-way. I drained the old gas and installed a new electric fuel pump to get it running / driving and the car starts right up and the engine sounds great with no knocks or ticks and has good oil pressure but I would give it a tune up and fluid change also the carb is running rich and I'm sure it needs a rebuild. The 4 speed shifts good through all 4 gears and revers, he dual exhaust sounds great (no exhaust leaks) and looks like it was just replaced prior to storage. This car sat on my car trailer for over a week and has no leaks (no fluid spots on the trailer) and all fluids levels are full. The tires are old and have flat spots and will need to be replaced. The headlights / taillightscome on but some bulbs will need to be replaced. The horn and wipersand dome lightall work but the turn signal switch don't feel right and is not working. The power steering works and sounds good no whining. All glass is good except the front windshield has a small repairable bullseye, he windows all roll up and down but are stiff. The exterior mirrors are from a 1969 mustang and are loose and mounted incorrectly and will need to be replaced or mounted correctly. The gas gauge works but the tach does not. The gas cap shown in the pics is from a 1968 model but I have located a decent 1967 model cap and will include it with this sale. This car has had one repaint but no signs of major collision repair and the rear quarters, rame rails, loor pans, tc. all look to be original to the car and the door / fender gaps look good, t has rust in thetypical mustang spots but it isin better condition than most projects I come across. the front frame rails and inner and outer rockers look good. The bottoms of the doors are good. The floors have rust issues but not real bad just some patches would work to fix them and a previous owner has put somemetal over the rust holes. Thepass side quarter has rust and needs replaced orlarge patch repair, he driver side quarter has some rust issues but not near as bad . The trunk also needs rust repair mainly around the fuel tank mounting flanges. The rear frame rails are good up until about the last 6 inches or so butcould be repaired easily without full replacement just some patch work and also If you want to restore this car as a GT it has the factory threaded exhaust hanger holes in the rear frame rails thatall true GT cars came with. I have a Clean Missouri title in hand. PLEASE NOTE !! This car is being sold "AS IS" as a project car or for parts or repair you can not drive it homeand it will need to be trailered. Please take your time and use the zoom feature on every picture so you can get a good look at what you are buying and please feel free to ask questions and for more pics if needed before buying. Somenew replacement parts will beincluded with this car including a head liner, & Rtrunk repair panel, rear frame rail, n original 1967 Mustang radio, nd a pair of left and right front coil spring covers. I also have the owners manual and about 10 years of inspection and repair paperwork from a previous owner in the glove box.I have tried to describe this car as best as I can but I'm sure I have missed or overlooked a few details so please remember this is a project car that needs work. Thanks for looking PLEASE NOTE ONCE THE LOW RESERVE IS MET THE BUY IT NOW GO'S AWAY This car will drive onto a car trailer or hauler with no problems This car is located about 30 miles west of St. Louis right off of interstate 70 I may be able to deliver for $1.25 per mile one way.
