Description of 1968 Ford F-100 |
I am selling my 10 year custom F100 build. This truck started out as a inline 6, anual everything, owner vehicle. It is a 1968 F100 short wheel base. This truck has a 302 based block, 6 Transmission, " rear end. My goals for this truck was to do a custom truck but remain very subtle with my customization and use mostly Ford parts so as to not litter this built with shiny trinkets from parts catalogs. This truck was a 10 year project vehicle that has been on the road for the last year. It has over 100k miles on the original truck but only has about 1500 on the new drive train and since the restoration. I have extensive build pictures and have well over $50k invested in the truck. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are a serious buyer, his is not a beginners hot rod vehicle. I will not trade, r do any other strange agreements, ther than to help facilitate a cash sale. Engine compartment: 302 - 306cid built from a 70's block - roller magnum crane cam, ull roller motor, .7 aluminum rockers, delbrock performer heads 1.60/202 valves, bk shorty ceramic headers, 6 mustang serpentine belt setup, anden a/c, delbrock air gap intake, alance blueprinted lower, ated at 7000rpm, rue double pumper Holley 670, UI ignition, 50-375hp motor, am not a big fan of fabricated valve covers but they were the only valve covers that would clear the massive roller rockers. Bosch Hydro-boosted brakes, ower steering, /s cooler hidden in frame, lassic auto a/c and heater, fco aluminum cross flow radiator, lectric mk IV fan with painless PWM controller, merican auto wire full custom wiring kit Trans: C6 automatic, ild shift kit, gear E40 planetary, eep vented pan, uge cooler, ughes 2200rpm stall Fuel: I get a lot of questions on the fuel system - Gas tank is racing mutli-fuel bladder fuel cell 22 gal, ustom mounted in the rear of the vehicle, included a shot of how we installed it when I was building the frame up, did not want to drive around with gas in the cab, ou will also notice there is a circle track protection bar behind the gas tank because I prefer no rear bumper, ladder tank is designed for race cars and protect bar helps make this ultra safe setup. Fuel filler is accessible through door in truck bed. Rear end - 9" ford, riginal tube, ear gusset brace welded on, idden ladder bar setup (see pics in Blue) 4.11 Richmond gears true-trac posi Suspension - Coils are 1" dropped, " lower rear shackles, ARE front radius arm bar FORD sway bar (you will not find this on any other factory truck really rare), ear fabricated hidden ladder bars, ull frame rail support with Teflon Heim joints 3/4 DOM bars (see pics) Brakes - new disc spindle, actory 70's ford truck front disc brakes (converted from original drums) cross drilled and powder coated, ear all powder coated regular drums, efreshed with new parts Interior - Fat Mat sound insulation everywhere, really went nuts with this stuff 67 Mustang seats and sliding rails, ll new F600 Dash cluster, eavily modified with vintage 1970's Stewart Warner Stage 3 gauges ( the same gauges used in original Lamborghini Countach) Lokar shifter, /C controls work through original non a/c controller new everything inside, long with refurbished AM only radio with 1 speaker All light controls and knobs moved to instrument cluster custom filled in dash Body / Paint - Truck has a chromed 1968 grill that was originally a painted item, rill is the original one made of steel, nstalled are custom painted 1967 F100 badges, ood letters filled in, ear bed rails showed some rust as you can see from the pictures on my photobucket page, e welded up those bed rails and body worked them together with no seam, br> The paint is a Mercedes Color code from the 80's PPG DP series primer, ealer, ase coat, lear coat paint. The Paint is show quality in many areas but this is a driver vehicle, would give this car an honest opinion that it is a 3 foot paint job, his is the hardest thing to describe on this vehicle and I assure you that if the paint was a show paint job this is a $60k+ truck all day, t does have some small runs in a couple of corners, t has a couple little light areas, here are a couple of scratches, did get a rock chip the other day, ou can actually see the rock chip on the passenger side hood front edge, t has since been filled back in, verall this is a really nice paint job and not the junk people call a drivers quality paint job, have over $3k in just paint materials on this truck and it was done at a professional paint shop, recommend seeing the truck yourself to determine. Powder coating - I did a lot of powder coating on this truck, rake drums, pindles, ll accessory drive, aster cylinder, rake calipers, teering column, nd many more parts. If it came of the truck it pretty much was powder coated. This truck was a 10 year build, scrutinized every nut and bolt through that process and used only the most perfect setups to achieve the look and quality that I was hoping to achieve. Subtle fast and stout. Every single part was replaced on this frame off restoration. No internet parts house junk was put into this vehicle, ll brakes, earings and parts are available from a local parts house. This truck has never driven in the rain or been outside of a garage. I would strongly urge the prospective buyer to come out and look in person at this truck before buying. I am selling the vehicle locally and reserve the right to cancel this ad at any time. $500 down payment due immediately upon purchase to hold the sale. I can help with your vehicle shipper. Please feel free to ask any questions, ut please read this description. Photobucket Link F100 Pictures |
