Id just like to start off with WHO WOULDN'T like to own one of the most iconic Ford trucks of all time ?! The 1956 Ford F100 AND its the super desirable " Big Back Window " version to boot ! With that brought up, ere we have in a project form a 1956 Ford F100 that when new it was fitted with a 4 speed and according to trim tag it was Red. This truck must have gone thru a total restoration at some early point in its life, thought the original color had been Yellow. There is no drivetrain for this truck but does have a Chrysler Cordoba front suspension and steering column. I believe the rear end is a Ford. Is set up with a 4 Link rear. The frame has been cleaned and smoothed and then painted. The cab floor is super nice and super solid as are doors but exterior of cab and all 4 fenders do need some work. Not alot I would say. I am inclined to say this truck would be a pretty easy build as a person only needs straight fabrication patches thru out where needed. We have no extra parts for this truck, here is a gauge panel that is complete I believe but don't know if its original to this truck. There is no tail gate. The lack of parts should not deter a person from grabbing this truck up though as the parts needed are out there and pretty cheap too.Using my eBay account to sell this truck for my buddy Rich who had bought this truck over a year ago as a nostalgic impulse. His very first vehicle was a 1956 Ford F100 that his mom had bought him back when he was 14. Rich had alot of fun taking his original F100 apart and putting it back together many many many times. One day when he was a few years older he got serious with his F100 and started collecting all these parts, inished parts and customized parts and started building his truck. Then Rich turned Mopar and traded his F100 off. Now many many years later he was feeling that touch of nostalgia and went on the hunt for another 1956 Ford F100 and it had to be just a certain one when this one came along. He jumped on it and for the last year that he has owned it his mind has been whirling with all sorts of directions to go. His son urged Rich to drop a Cummins Diesel into this truck. The possibilities are endless. Well, ts a year later and Rich realized he just wasnt going to get to this truck anytime soon with a few of his Mopar's starting in the re-assembly stage and now it just sits in a storage that the space is needed - but one day he will find another F100 when he has more time. So this one is going to a new home along with a 1951 Ford F100 in another auction.I just can't say what a Rat Rod version of this truck would look like as everyone of these I have ever seen has super nice paint, ustom interiors with killer V-8's in them but maybe somebody looking at this auction has an idea of their own how they would proceed. We do not have front window BUT we do have back window and Im not sure if ALL the trim is here but I know that some of it goes with this truck. There is a clear title, ruck rolls super easy and does steer. If a person needed the trucks where abouts for shipping quotes, he truck is located in Poulsbo Washington 98370If you would like to talk to Rich about this truck, e can be reached at 360-340-4703Payment is due within a 7 day period from auctions end.Thank you for the interest -
