TITLE IN-HAND.
THIS '66 F350 IS IN UNBELIEVABLE CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. IT IS ALMOST COMPLETELY RUST-FREE, XCEPT FOR ONE VERY SMALL SPOT ON THE RIGHT CAB CORNER EXTENSION (PICTURED). THE REST OF THE TRUCK IS RUST-FREE. THE FLOORS, AB MOUNTS, NNER FENDERS, OOD, OOF AND FRAME ARE ALL EXCELLENT. THIS TRUCK HAS WHAT MOST CONSIDER "GREAT PATINA" AND A KILLER COLOR COMBINATION. THERE IS ONE DENT ON THE ROOF (WHICH WOULD EASILY POP OUT IF YOU REMOVED THE HEADLINER) AND ONE SMALLER ONE ON THE RIGHT FENDER, HICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS.
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS AS TO WHAT IT COULD BE USED FOR. A VERY LITTLE AMOUNT OF WORK COULD PUT IT INTO DAILY SERVICE BUT IT WOULD BE AN EXCELLENT FULL RESTORATION CANDIDATE, OO. MOST IMPORTANTLY, T'S A V-8! (MANY OF THESE TRUCKS WERE 6-CYLINDERS.) THE ALUMINUM GRILLE (RARE) IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.
I HAVE DRIVEN THIS TRUCK UP AND DOWN THE ROAD. THE CLUTCH STILL FEELS STRONG AND IT SHIFTS WELL. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS TRUCK HAS NEVER BEEN APART AND YOU'RE DEALING WITH A 50-YEAR-OLD DRIVELINE, USPENSION AND BRAKING SYSTEM, O IT HAS MINOR LEAKS AND A SLIGHT SMOKE WHEN FIRST STARTING IT; ALL OF WHICH WOULD BE EXPECTED IN A TRUCK OF THIS TYPE AND AGE. THE ENGINE DOES NOT MAKE ANY NOISE AND STILL RUNS REMARKABLY WELL. THE REAR TIRES ARE LITERALLY WORN OUT. THE STEERING IS VERY STIFF. AGAIN, T IS 50-YEARS-OLD. I WOULD EXPECT IT NEEDS THE STEERING AND BRAKING SYSTEMS GONE THROUGH AND THE ENGINE RE-SEALED, F WANTING TO USE THE TRUCK AS IT IS.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE ACTUAL MILEAGE IS, OWEVER, CAN'T IMAGINE IT HAS MUCH ON IT, IVEN THAT IT SPENT NEARLY ITS ENTIRE LIFE ON A TENNESSEE FARM AND OCCASIONALLY DRIVEN TO TOWN. THE ORIGINAL "OIL BATH" AIR CLEANER IS STIL ATOP THE CARBURETOR. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK PRECISELY BECAUSE IT HADN'T BEEN TOUCHED AND I WOULDN'T HAVE ANY SURPRISES ON THE BODY, UCH AS PATCHES OR FILLER. WE'RE TALKING ABOUT 100% ORIGINAL 1966 STEEL HERE.
THE INTERIOR IS ALSO REMARKABLY NICE FOR THE AGE. THE SEAT HAD BEEN RE-COVERED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER BEFORE I GOT IT AND A NEW (DUAL) EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS ADDED (WHICH ARE THE ONLY TWO NON-STOCK ITEMS ON THE TRUCK). NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN CUT ON THE DASH OR OTHERISE CHANGED ON THE INTERIOR. THE HEADLINER IS "DECENT" AND STILL ALL INTACT. AGAIN, HIS IS A 100% UNMOLESTED SURVIVOR, OT SOME TYPICAL OLD RUST BUCKET AND VERY WORTHY OF PRESERVING OR RESTORING. THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S MANUAL AND A SPARE WHEEL ARE INCLUDED WITH THE TRUCK. (THESE OLD 6-LUG WHEELS AREN'T EASY TO COME BY.)
MY RESERVE IS VERY LOW (WAY UNDER WHAT I SEE PEOPLE ASKING FOR COMPARABLE TRUCKS). I BOUGHT IT TO RESTORE, UT MY CURRENT PROJECT HAS TO BE COMPLETED FIRST AND I'M GETTING READY TO SELL MY HOME AND BUY ANOTHER ONE, HICH WILL KEEP ME BUSY, S WELL. I'M AFRAID IT'LL JUST SIT TOO LONG UNTIL I'D GET TO IT, O I DECIDED TO OFFER IT UP TO SOMEONE WHO WILL ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING WITH IT. I WANT TO SELL IT AND SEE IT GO TO A GOOD HOME, UT I DON'T NEED TO SELL IT. I'M WILLING TO LET IT GO AT A VERY FAIR NUMBER, UT I WON'T GIVE IT AWAY.
