Description of 1969 Ford Ranchero |
I'm sad about selling this beauty butI have and am working on another one and need to make room in my garage to walk thru. This 1969 Ford Ranchero wasoriginally a 500 but converted to a GT. Engine is the original 390 4V motor 'S' code as you can seeby the vin number. It starts up all the time with 70 PSI oil pressure. Idles smooth with a great rumble out the back with the new Flowmaster mufflers and pipes. Matching numberengine and parts (except heads). I have an Edlebrock intake manifold on the motor butthe original manifoldgoes with the car. Heads were redone to accept unleaded gas and are 427 heads from a 1966-67 motor. Car was built in March 1969. Dates stamped on motor show the same time frame. A southern car most of its life. I have owned it for the last 8 years. Rebuiltdate correct Ford carburetor on motor with original heat choke system. (works great) See pic. Comes with the heavy duty C6 transmission with a shift kit for quick gear changes. Rebuilt master cylinder, ooster and proportional valve. Whole brake system cleaned out. No rust. New tires 205/70/14all around. Rims were powdercoated1 yr ago. AC installed from factory. New compressor but not hooked up. Front sway bar increased in thickness for better steering control. Original to go with car. Remote car alarm system. Upgraded 100 amp Chrome alternator installed. original to go with car. Tachometer installed in dashfor a cleaner look. Oil, olt and temp. gauges installed below radio. Original AM/FM radio in dash. Works. Color of car was originally light blue but was repainted a rare 1969 Ford SS-Grabber Yellow. Paint Scratch.com can match it. Technically ithas Ram Air. Fully functional GT hood. I am also going to throw in abrand new posi unit for the differental to make it a posi rear. Just switch it out with the open carrier. Now you ask, hat is wrong with car. Very little. Carpet inside needs to be replaced butI am throwing in with the sale brand new carpet for installation. The dash lights are weak at night. I am giving the winner a new Headlight rheostat unit to correct the problem. There are some rust spots by the bottom rear wheel. This truck is a head turner any where you go. Swap meets get people all around it. Truck drivers blast there horns when they see it. The torgue is unbelievable and can chirp the tires between shifts. Comes with the bed coverAND a car cover. Many new parts were put into this baby. I offset the neutral switch to prevent theft. In case I forgot to set the alarm and someone tried to steal/hot wire it,the enginewon't start unless the shift column is pushed all the way up first. It can be reset the original way. On Feb-24-16 at 15:51:25 PST, eller added the following information: I forgot give out my phone number in caseanyone hasany questions. Just ask for Jim. 516-805-7562. Call me anytime between 9am and 9pm EST. You can leave a message and will get back to you when freed up. I am selling this car at aLOW RESERVE. Don't think I'm asking for as much as it should go for. On Feb-25-16 at 16:00:11 PST, eller added the following information: For those asking me to divulge the reserve price, can tell you that it is not that high as some other Ranchero auctions are asking. For this originality and cared for truck, placed a low reserve to help sell the truck and give it to a worthy owner for a decent price. Ranchero lovers are few and far between. I do have documents/paperwork that will go with the vehicle. |
