Description of 1941 Ford Other |
1941 Ford 2DR Business Coupe. Let me start with what I know. I purchased this vehicle years ago for my father who carries a picture around with him of his first car and always said. "He would love to have another one like it" so here it is. Prior to our purchase. the car had a frame off restoration including the orig. motor being rebuilt. The int. was also done. This is a 1941 Ford Business Coupe with the flathead V8. 3-SPD. on the tree. The motor was rebuilt and the the car has been repainted (Black). Tires have large white walls and look like new. The body is very solid and the frame is in great condition also. The right fender has a small dent by the headlight the size of a quarter. The chrome is in great condition and shines as it should. The Int was redone also (Tan). I never seen this before but the back of the seat lifts upward to allow access to rear area (was told thats the way they hauled moon shine). The V8 Flathead engine runs very smoothly and can hardly hear it at all. This car is still powered with a 6 volt system (never converted over to 12 volts). The clutch is good and shifts like an old car in all gears. Brakes are not powered or disc. They are drum brakes and work as they should (no ABS either). I think the odometer is showing 74k miles but I dont know if its orig. or working so i wont guarantee the miles. My father since has had knee replacements and is not comfortable with any standard shift vehicles so this car has been sitting inside for the past 2-3 years without being driven any distance. I have started and moved it around and ran it around our building over the summers months. He has now said to me its time to sell it as he will never drive it again. He wants somebody to purchase this car that will keep it and take care of it as a 1941 and hopefully not make it into a street rod. This is a perfect car to go to cruise in's and shows. We also have some extra parts and pieces that will go with the car when its sold as we will no longer have use for them. I think we have some manuals also (not for sure but will be looking) and if so they will be yours. You may come in and look this over at anytime but it must be paid for in full (checks must be cleared by bank) before taking it home. I will try to answer any and all questions by phone (its faster) or email. My phone number is 330-603-five- six-33. I will have a reserve set on this collector as nobody has a set price. If you want to make an offer feel free (its up to my father to say yes or no. not me). I have researched cars like this and not many 41's out there. so we will be fair to all as they should be fair to him. I will have the right to end this auction at anytime without any problem if he changes his mind in selling. Once again. notify me with any questions. Good luck and Thanks for looking at this beauty. Also I can arrange transporting of vehicle if needed. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. |
