Description of 1989 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire LX Station Wagon |
This is a complete running vehicle. I would describe it as a running/driving project but I would not recommend it as a primary or daily driver in its current condition. One of the last years for full size Ford wagons. Last model year for pivoting front windows. Engine and transmission are functional but tired. The wagon has 177,000 + miles and I don't know the entire service history. The Odometer works but has 5 digit capacity so true mileage is unknown. Interior is leather and is pretty good overall. Driver's seat is worn, and there is a small tear on the seat back seam. Dash has cracks over both front speakers. Automatic headlight switch was replaced with standard switch and was zip tied to bottom of dash instead of replaced in correct dash location. Head lights and high beams both work Front driver and passenger windows work. Drivers rear works, but the switch needs cleaning or replacement currently works only by reversing physically reversing switch in cluster. The passenger rear motor works, but window does not move. Tailgate window works from tailgate lock but not from dash switch. All glass is good. Radio works and sounds good, but some times does not come on, or if on will shut off. I think it and the tailgate dash switch have loose connections from the headlight switch repair, but I have never attempted to fix them and can't guarantee that is the issue. I was told the cassette player did not work when I bought the car and have never attempted to use it. Smog air pump froze and the drive belt to it was removed so vehicle could be driven. A/C compressor runs off the same belt as the air pump. The compressor is not frozen, but air was not blowing cold before belt was removed. One of the threaded ears on the time cover housing for water pump bolt is broken. Automatic climate control switch needs vacuum lines replaced Needs new tires and battery. Tires hold air but will leak over time. Battery holds charge, but is close to the end of service life. Brakes work, but power booster has started to leak New dual exhaust and all four shocks replaced within the last two years. The shocks are Monroe coil overs. You will need to arrange shipping from San Antonio, TX. Purchaser is responsible for shipping cost. I'm not recommending Uship, but they can give a historical estimate for shipping to your zipcode. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied. Vehicle is selling as/is. Please ask any questions before bidding. If you have less than 10 transactions and/or less than 100% feedback on Ebay, you must contact me before bidding or bid will be deleted and/or blocked. |
