Description of 1956 Ford F-100 |
1956 FORD F100 PICKUP -- BIG BLOCK!!
Thanks for viewing this classic very nice example of yesteryear. If you are seeking a head turning excellent driver, that is more than ready for a spring driver that has the get up and go to wake up the crowd -- look no further. Old pickup trucks rule -- even if you occasionally leave them in the garage. Like everything 60 years old this one has a story we would love to hear. VIN NUMBER: F10D6N26980 ODOMETER SHOWING 05723 which is believed to be relative to nothing. I am listing this vehicle for the owner. He has enjoyed this vehicle as his project and play toy since 1990. He bought this vehicle in metro Richmond Virginia. He personally supervised it's restoration -- performing some of the tasks himself. When professional skills were needed they were employed. The restoration was mostly completed in 1992...as if they are ever completed! The front clip is from a 1978 Cougar. It provides disk brakes, independent suspension, and power steering. The painting which is 1990 vintage is Dupont Jaguar Red. The owner reports that he often drives this truck around the urban and rural roads of central Virginia. It is powered by a big block 390 motor, that couples perfectly with the 4 speed manual transmission and a 9 inch positive traction rear -- with 3.50 gears. The motor is a 390 cu Ford “S” block rebuilt 1992, high volume oil pump, with Eldebrock medium rise intake. Cosmetically and mechanically this truck is very nice. The interior is clean...with everything working as expected. All glass is new and tinted -- both windows and vents moving without difficulty. The running boards are also new! Being completely forthright I want you to know that the time for some new TLC has arrived. The body is showing several small points where the paint is bubbling. These areas are mostly at the door bottoms and front fenders around the headlights. The motor starts reliably. It was completely rebuilt in 1992, with a crank turn, new bearings, new valves and springs, and porting. The vehcile has been driven about 4000 to 4500 miles since then. The clutch is strong permitting reasonable shifting of the 4 speed top loaded transmission. It cleanly displays a NEW wooden truck bed, with oak flooring and new metal strips. A custom 26 gallon fuel tank has been installed under the wooden truck bed. I am very serious when I describe any item. I try to note anything -- good and bad, that I see or have been told by the owner. My Ebay feedback is important to me. I hope yours is as well. This vehicle is being offered for sale in other ways, so I reserve the right to terminate this listing -- without notice. AS-IS --NO WARRANTY This vehicle, and all I list, are being sold without warranty. Assume it to be AS I, WHERE IS! Feel free to ask any questions about this car via the Ebay message system, or if you prefer call my cell 804-450-1189. Thanks for looking and bidding. Ken |
