Description of 1931 Ford Model A |
Offered here is a 1931 Model A Ford Deluxe 2 door Phaeton 180A. This car is unrestored original. I found the car in a barn 5 years ago where it had been sitting since about 1962. The body was painted sometime in the 1950’s, but it never has been taken apart. Underneath it is 100% original. I put a new top and upholstery in the car 4 years ago. It runs exceptionally well and has been gone through mechanically including new brakes, head studs and head gasket. It retains all the important and original 180A parts including its original top saddles, top, seats and original Briggs body tag on the firewall which are all very hard to find parts if missing and all specific to the 180A. To add to the rarity of this car, it is a late 1931 with the indented firewall gas shut off and it has a high compression “Police” cylinder head on it with the letter “B” cast into the top. Importantly it also retains all of the original wood in the body which is always new when these cars are fixed. This car was in a very dry place which kept all the wood in great condition. It also has an original accessory APCO oil pressure gauge and temperature gauge cluster on the steering column along with an early accessory radio on the column as well. It’s an amazing original 180A deluxe phaeton that has been preserved over the years. One of the very last unrestored examples. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. So it still retains its original bumpers, not made in china reproductions. |
