Description of 1947 Ford Other COE |
1947 Ford COE 79T 1 ½ Ton Flatbed, Vin# 799T150. It has a 239ci Flathead V8 w/ 4sp Trans. The COE’s were great trucks. These years 46 & 7 also 41 to 42 (same body) stood the test of time. All COE’s are desirable but the design of those years stands out. Deco was in style at the time This truck with the Ford logo straight up on top of the waterfall grill, now as we look back, was beautiful. Still simple Deco inside the truck lends well to customizing. There’s many great examples. Restore it to the way it left the factory and still it will be an incredible truck. More importantly, either way, this truck will live. I pulled it out of the field in North Calif where it sat for 20 years just to make sure it will live. It has all original body panels with a 10” area of rust behind the lower passenger door and pop out windows. This is a very complete truck. I know some will want to rip it and tear it and not use all of it. You just want the body. I’m selling the whole truck as is. It needs complete restoration. The flatty catch’s any eye in any condition. Wouldn’t take much to get an old 87hp, 3,500rpm flathead V8 running. You could clear coat it and set it in front of your business or vineyard. Or just put it in your living room. It is real art. If your looking, this is a good one. This truck is btw Sacramento and Oakland Ca in Fairfield Ca. $6,000. 310-422-0004 |
