Spring is finally here & the Muscle Car hobby is back in full force! I am sure that many enthusiast & hobbyist have their personal favorites that they would like to see on the road this year! However it is my pleasure to present what I think is a pretty special pony that deserves serious consideration!

1972 was a very good year for Ford! Although certain models were produced on a large scale the convertible Mustang only saw a little over 6000 cars manufactured “making it one of the most rare years for convertibles” !

The M.C.A. (Mustang Club of America) can only accountant for about 3700 hundred of that number of cars still around today (many of being six cylinder models)!

If you’ve been looking for an incredibly fun classic that’s also an amazing investment ……look no further!

Here’s some brief history, pictures & details regarding this particular pony”!

There is a quite a lot that can be said for this vintage Mustang!

It was actually purchased at Academy Ford in Laurel Maryland! It is becoming more & more rare to find great cars with good documentation (no worries here the warranty card & other documents are still with this one)!

The vehicle that you see pictured here is a two owner actual 95k mile car! It has been very well cared for & meticulously maintained. By all accountants the first owner kept this Ford in his possession for over 25 plus years!

The condition and quality of it leaves little to no doubt that its limited ownership vehicle!

One of the first things that you & almost everyone else will take notice of is its SCREAMING YELLOW EXTERIOR!

You could use many adjectives to describe this classic Ford but the word subtle would not be one!

Even driving this Mustang a single block will attract a crowd! A few years ago the car received its only repaint (outside of its original covering).

The second owner had the honor of getting Mikes Kustoms to complete this task.

There was a grand effort put forth to make sure that this Mustangs presentation would be pleasing to all including the owner himself!

There is a detailed account of the materials used for the process that took place. Cutting corners was not an option! Although the car was in great shape before the work began the shop still called for 57 hours of labor to ensure that this beauty would be top notch by the consummation of the job!

This Mustang looks fantastic from all angles!

The paint on the body of this rag top is smooth to the touch and free from the amateur imperfections associated with many second rate paint jobs.

The exterior is free from damage. The car has a very respectable contour and good body lines.

This vehicles exterior shows incredibly well also thanks in part to the perfectly subscribed lower section donned Raven Black!

Joining in the fight to make this Mustang a certified crowd pleaser are precision laid Mach 1 style stripes!

The theme of Yellow & Black that is played throughout provides a contrast that has to be seen in person to truly be appreciated!

If you are like me & desire to push the envelope a little more than most “the iconic NASA Hood draped with a black mask should do the trick”!

This little Mustang looks incredible cruising down the road or even sitting in your driveway for that matter!

There are yet more added exterior appointments that are present on the car to ensure total nostalgia!

1970’s performance is what one will reminisce about if he or she takes a glance at the dual sport mirrors & the front chin spoiler.

All of the items mentioned happen to be in excellent shape & help give this pony just the right touch!

You can expect to find a good set of beautiful chrome bumpers & marvelous stainless trim around the entire vehicle as well!

The front windshield and all of the door glass is in pristine shape to boot!

Again this vintage 72 Ford has it all! That being said knowing that you can push a button and drop the top makes it even more enjoyable!

Pulling this stallion out of the stable is a blast in at any given time but now that spring has arrived taking it out for a cruise is priceless!

This Mustang has a near perfect Satin Black Convertible top installed on the vehicle!

It lowers with ease & it is free from any damage at all! This car also has the optional glass rear curtain that happens to be crystal clear (great visibility)! Although that’s great news top down fun makes the rear curtain irrelevant!

The top lines up perfectly with the door glass. It is matted to beautifully molded weather strip that ensures protection from harsh conditions.

At the end of the day what you have here is a real stand up vintage investment vehicle that will surely continue to appreciate!

Now that we have talked about this incredible Mustangs exterior lets discuss what she has to offer inside!

It is not the norm for people to say they love the interior of a car just as much as the exterior!

However, when you consider this Mustangs upholstery “that statement shouldn’t be deemed abnormal”!

At the very moment that you open up the door of this vintage Ford you will be impressed! Every single stitch of the factory Ginger interior has either been restored or refurbished through the years!

Almost all of the interior upholstery was ordered from the highly regarded supplier “NPD”!

The Deluxe Comfortweave front & rear seat covers are simply flawless “you will be hard pressed to find a single stitch out of place”!

These high back buckets provide a great example of what the Mustang represented in 1972!

While installing a dash cap seems to be the norm for many owners today (who don’t want to take on the chore of removing them) “replacing it is always best”.

No worries here….. this Mustangs original dash pad is still in fantastic condition!

Not many can say that all of their factory gauges are functioning properly “again no problem” the gauges sunken in this dash of this pony jump into action with just a flick of the key!

Need yet more nostalgia….? Here’s a personal favorite of mine “this pony has a factory tachometer situated right up front to monitor the vehicles performance”!

This pony gets fives stars in various places “even the factory Deluxe door panels placed prominently at your side” look as if they have just been installed at the assembly plant (great shape)!

The door window felt, belt line & handles are also in like new condition!

No stone was left unturned when the trying to preserve this pony through the years!

This car also has loop style carpet that must be seen to truly be appreciated! It fits tight and is securely fashioned throughout the circumference of the vehicle!

Shouting pony pride while simultaneously protecting the before mentioned carpet is a beautifully embossed set of Mustang pony floor mats!

This Blue Oval has all of the bases covered!

The right color, condition & value!

Taking a peek in the trunk you will even find excellence in that region. Included is a Ford sanctioned trunk mat, jack & spare/tire cover “looks great”!

Now that I have given several reasons why you should love this Ford…… Let’s talk about what makes the Chevy crowd hate it!

No Mustang can truly be considered a free running stallion without having a factory V/8!

The heart and soul of this horse is its mean factory 302 F Code engine block!

This Mustang plays its strongest hand in this regard! The 302 engine inside of this pony is a little meaner than most! To start it was totally rebuilt a short time ago “documented”!

Although most tend to ignore this procedure when restoring a classic car it is almost impossible to express wonderful how great it is to hit the road in confidence!

Not only was the engine rebuilt it received a performance boost!

Top notch hardware helped make this Ford extremely reliable & also a screamer!

This pony has beefed up rod & main bearings, pistons, hardened valve seats (important for burning modern fuel), valve springs, cam bearings, completion valves and just too much more installed to list!!!

It is important to mention at this point that the block was properly bored & new freeze plugs were instituted as well!

I recently had the pleasure of driving this Mustang about seventy miles & I must say it was difficult to put it back in the garage “it loves the open road”!

This is a classic car that you can take the wife out in for ice cream knowing you’ll make it home safely …… where she can put you in time out for buying the car in the first place!

After this vehicles engine was reassembled the shop decided to install the cars original air cleaner & valve covers. These components look a little pedestrian in nature but to unsuspecting muscle car fans “it’s a sleeper”!

Lying between the valve covers is a perfectly matched performance intake with a 600 CFM four barrel carburetor!

These two items are matted to the rebuilt block and really give this pony the kick that she needs to make any and every trip a thrilling one!

Preventative maintenance has been addressed on this Mustang regularly “very reliable”!

Another valuable aspect to make note of regarding this Mustang is the fact that the transmission has also been rebuilt (documented)!

Any & everything that could be done to this Mustang to ensure enjoyment well into the future has been done!

What would a classic pony car be without a sweet sounding exhaust….? Whatever the answer is it won’t be given here! This Mustang has an excellent set of chambered performance mufflers with dual exhaust!

With just the twist of the key revisions of Route 66 are in effect!

LET’S LISTEN TO HER RUMBLE!!!

Finally I must mention that this pony has new shocks & several suspension components installed so “driving this Ford on the freeway is a breeze”!

This one also has disc brakes are functioning proper which have received a clean bill of health.

Modern Muscle car owners go out of their way to tip their cap to you when you’re behind the wheel of this Mustang! It’s only fitting that the pony cars of yester year get acknowledged for creating all the excitement that still exist today!

As in many cases the best is saved for last!

This 72 Stang has an absolutely gorgeous set of iconic Magnum 500’s at all four corners!

Not one wheel has road rash or curb damage! The rims look terrific on this car & really give it the bull dog aggressive look the car was meant to have from the factory!

Like broccoli & cheese go together so does Magnums & BFG white letter performance radials!

The tires on this pony are spank brand new & really put an end to any argument that another tire could match up better!

Don’t miss out on your chance to own a quality investment at a bargain price!

You may find another classic Mustang but you will be hard pressed to find one in this condition for the asking price!

The time, effort & money spent restoring this Ford can’t be properly measured. That being said I have set a very reasonable reserve on this beautiful automobile! The car is being offered at a fraction of what it cost to restore it!

The car is also structurally sound!

The floors, frame rails and all other components underneath are in great shape!
