Description of 1932 Ford Other |
Want a nice dependable street rod for the summer? I’ve own this little roadster for 13 years and never had a problem. Really easy to drive, and maintain! I bought the car with just 57 miles on it. It now has close to 10,000 worry free cruising miles on it. This rod has always been maintained and never raced, it’s a cruiser. The body is a fiberglass Kilbourne, with a nice tan interior and matching trunk. Chassis is based on American Stamping frame rails with I believe is a Harwood center section. Front end is Superbell front axle with Pete and Jakes hairpins and spring. The rear is a 9” Ford, 3.00:1 gears, open differential, hung by nice adjustable coil over shocks. It rides really well with this set up. Runs about 2700 rpm at 70 mph down the highwa, cruises down the boulevard at 1500 rpm and 45 mph. It’s really easy to drive around town with the stock 350 Chevy and Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The car only weighs about 1800 pounds, so the 350 Chevy is plenty of power. The car has an extremely rare set of polished aluminum Raider mag rims (notice the smooth spokes with no ribs and bullet centers !). The gauges are Moon’s mounted in an engine turned aluminum panel. The car has a lot of neat little tricks like turn signals and parking lights hidden in the ’32 Ford commercial size headlights. the parking lights look really cool at dusk. All the switches and ignition are hidden under the dash, the trunk release is also hidden. The4 piece Rootlieb louvered hood makes it easy to work on the engine. There are several other nice touches that make this a sweet, clean little rod. It would be hard to beat this rod for the low reserve price on her. I do not have a top, but the body and windshield are already set up for one. There is one chip in the paint on the right front frame rail. It's been there since I got the car and isn't really noticeable. The upper part of the windshield frame has some pitting, but all the rest of the chrome and aluminum is very nice. The car ALWAYS draws a crowd with its simple clean looks. The car has a clean, green Michigan title that lists it as a 1932 Ford Roadster. Of course like any older car, it’s sold with as is with no warranty. That said, it needs nothing but a new proud owner. Please feel free to contact me with questions and please have your finances in order before you bid. Sorry, they are short as my old camera only does 60 seconds in one record session. There's lots of wind noise in one of videos and it sounds like a V6 since the camera's audio couldn't keep up. Thanks for looking and happy bidding on this great little roadster! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryPtzhn3t-Y https://youtu.be/qSWIXbfTWJQ https://youtu.be/t9Sj_3xTqug https://youtu.be/yBJU2E0uVsI https://youtu.be/shj4IrcY6Og https://youtu.be/8I4d_xlriOY https://youtu.be/77HMixPT-Nk |
