THIS 1957 FORD F-100 IS A PRETTY SOLID TRUCK. IT HAD SOME VERY MINOR BODY RUST WHICH HAS BEEN REPAIRED. THE RUST IN THE BED OF THE TRUCK IS THRU THE METAL UP NEAR THE FRONT OF THE BED. THE FRAME & FLOOR PANS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE.THE PIC. SHOW THE REPAIRES TO THE FRONT DOORS AT THE FRONT BOTTOM, & REAR BOTTOM OF FRONT FENDERS. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FROM A FRIEND THAT HAD GOT IT AS A RESTORATION PROJECT FOR HE & HIS SON. WHEN THE SON LOST INTREST, HE PUT IT IN THE BARN WHERE IT SAT FOR MORE THAN 10+ YEARS. HE SAID THAT THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING REAL SLUGISH & THAT THE TRANSMISSION DID NOT SHIFT PROPERLY. HE PULLED THE TRANSMISSION & HAD IT REBUILT & ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. I HAD MY MECHANIC CHECK THE ENGINE & HE FOUND THAT THE TOP OF THE ENGINE WAS ALL GUMED UP, BUT WHEN HE RAN THE CAMERA INTO THE CYLENDERS. THE PISTONS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE. VERY LIGHT RUSTING ON CYLENDER WALLS. HE SAID THAT THE ENGINE WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE REBUILT.THE ENGINE & TRANSMISSION CAME OUT OF A 1979 MERCURY COUGER GT. THE TRANSMISSION IS AUTOMATIC WITH AFTER MARKET FLOOR SHIFTER. IF I HAVE MISSED ANYTHING, IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL. IF I THINK OF ANNYTHING ELSE IWILL POST IT.
