Description of 1956 Ford F-100 |
One of a kind 56 Ford F 100. Lots of custom work yet retains that original 56 F-100 Pick-Ups Unlimited look: Could easily be turned back into stock truck if that's your thing. But the Cadillac engine and drive line make it a verysmooth quiet driver.. The previous owner was a trucker and it has way too much stuff on it, including the Cadillac Grill.I have added 2 photos showing an original grill, that comes with it if the winning bidder wants it. Some people love it just they way it is, one thing is for sure it draws more attention at the cruise than most all of the other vehicles there. Those front side makers are cut into the fenders so that might be an issue if your looking to make it look stock on the front. The steering wheel is out of the caddie so it tilts and telescopes. Has High Low Dim on columnQuad headlights Multipleauxiliary tail and brake lights plusturn signals (that actually work and cancel) Gauges work, gas oil pressure temp etc. Custom interior with adjustable bucket seats & has a built in coolerwith drain. Custom door panels, and kick panels lots of speakers Very nice bed with quality deck cover that stays upwhen raised. has security locks.. Very nice body work done with filledfender seams etc. The truck has Mickey Mouse theme logo'son doorscan come offbut very cool looking V8 Cad engine Automatictrans Coil over shocks. Cad rear-end axle, rear fenders widened 3 inches. Power windows, Air Conditioning Power steering Power/Disc brakes.Recently took a 200 mile trip with it and the big aluminum radiator held right at 180 with or with out auxiliary fan. Nice sounding dual exhaust like new mufflers and pipes. I bought this truck in a package deal and I don't have much of the history. The unit was a bit over done and some of the detail work seems over board. For example the recessed Cadillac door handles recessed power radio antenna, etc, must have been a labor of love, A few funky things, like it has quick-set house locks on both doors, Power hydraulics lift hood.Chromed glove box door and running boards, mud flaps and OOGHA horn. If someone said they spent 30,000 on this truck it would be believable. If you were to buy it and take it up another notch you would not be up-side down, there is a lot of potential here. It is not a big window but it is the custom cab with the correct trim. This may not be for everybody but I think it is a bargain for the right person.NO PAY PAL, wire transfer to my bank is best, Truck does not leave until funds are clear. Not rocket science, just be an honest person who wants a unique 56 Ford F-100. Clear California in my name and current tags. If there are any negatives I would say the following, one small spot on hood lip where the paint has bubbled, clear coat on the roof needs redone, underside needs to be detailed and the wiring cleaned up. ., no dents or dings nor active rust, but some minor cracking in paint.. Side windows are Plexiglas and I would replace them with original. I have some pretty good connections on shippers and if you exercise the "BUY IT NOW" I would split the cost of shipping. I'm not desperate nor do I have to sell, so please no scammers.Ask questions if you have any. She is for sale locally so I may have to end the auction early. Thanks for looking and bidding, positive feedback always given in return for same. Tom, retired in Sunny Orange California. . |
