Description of 1932 Ford Roadster Boyd Coddington Boydster ll |
1932 Boydster II. The Boydsters were designed by Chip Foose modeled after the 1932 Ford Roadster. They were built by Boyd Coddington. Boyd contracted Deuce Customs in Australia for the bodies. They produced 21 of the Boydster IIs. 12 were built with fenders and 9 were built as High Boy's. The chassis and suspensions were custom designed and built by Boyd. They are very rare and several currently sit in museums. This Boydster II was assembled and built including the drive train in Boyd's shop in southern California using a Boyd Codddington stage 3 chassis and suspension. The brakes are Boyd Coddington polished calipers and drilled rotors. The rear end is a polished Jag style with 373 gears. The engine is a 400hp LS-1 chromed and built by Street & performance in Arkansas. The transmission is a 4160E chromed 4 speed automatic with a electronic Moon Eyes push button shifter. It has a Kenwood sound system. The wheels are Boyd Coddington Magneto's 17s on rear and 15s on front with a matching steering wheel. Once the car was built and completely assembled in Boyd's shop it was shipped to Boinott's custom paint shop in Ohio where they used PPG for the Silver, Blue and Green Flamed paint job. This is one of the best paint jobs I have seen. The pictures do not do it justice. You have to see it in person. It has a lot of metal flake in all three colors. The flames have amazing pin-striping around them and they also included subtle ghost flames around the green flames. The paint theme was included on the interior and the engine bay areas. The car was then taken to Lyons trim Shop in Ohio where they installed an amazing Oyster Leather interior and trunk panels. This car has 376 miles on it. It has an original 1932 Ford Roadster Title. It is one of the nicest Boydsters produced. This is a high end build and a great show car that is extremely rare and has historical significance. The car is sold in "as is where is condition" with no warranty. I also have is listed locally so I retain the right to remove the listing at any time.
