This is a 1990 Ford Crown Victoria. It is a VERY rare car in superb condition. I am a major collector of rare police vehicles and this one is an anomaly. This vehicle was bought new by the original owner before me, (he was a WW2 Vet and millionaire who was a founder bringing business to Eden Prairie, MN-This was his vehicle of choice). For a MN car, it has very minimal rust (none visible, always garaged). It may in fact be aluxuryLX model BUT it has police options such as (practically new) 225/70/R15 tires, police steel 15"wheels, certified police speedometer, upgraded factory suspension, torsion bars, and true Ford factory dual exhaust with 4 catalytic converters. It also has a full size police spare wheel and tire (Goodyear Eagle) in the trunk. However, it does not have the rubber floor or any holes in the body from antennas or spotlights. Nor does it have the external oil and transmission coolers. But it does have numbers and extra equipment holes under the hood. I believe that it may have been ordered as a fleet vehicle and then sold to the original owner who may have ordered extra options on this car new from the dealer. It is a strange anomaly due to also having cruise control, upgraded trim, such as 1/2 a vinyl roof and minor pin striping. I have almost all the service records to this vehicle. It has new battery, alternator, rear brakes, and replaced factory dual exhaust. I bought it to keep as I even put a new rebuilt transmission in it for approx $2,000. Vehicle was always garaged until now. It drives like a dream. It is very smooth and feels like riding on a cloud or comfortable boat. Probably the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned (and I have owned dozens from this era). I also love the box Caprices of this era, but this Ford counterpart is so much more comfortable with much better seats and door sealing with less interior noise. It has a much more 'modern' interior look than the Chevrolets, as well as the 89 and older Fords, with nicer dash and driver side airbag. Steering wheel is perfect. I primarily live in CA and was going to take this vehicle back with me, but I have collected far too many to store and this Ford does not deserve to sit outside or be driven during a MN winter. Vehicle is still located in MN-NOT CA where I own, buy, collect, and sell many others. The only 'issues' are a minor oil leak (I just did the valve cover gaskets so it might be run off still) and the right side wheel well-- The rust is VERY minimal and nothing showing other than a couple of 'bubbles' coming from inside the right rear passenger wheel well, but it is not on the outside through the paint at all and none on the driver side. There are also some scratches and dings, but minimal - especially for a 26 year old car with original paint. Paint shines like new and is not faded. There is likely not another box style Crown Victoria of this era available in the upper mid-west in this condition with this little corrosion. Interior is like new other than some carpet wear on the driver side. I have even sat on towels since day one owning this vehicle. I bought it with and original 58,000 miles on it (it is NOT 158,000). It now has 62,000 miles. It has the true fuel injected 5.0 liter and not the much more problematic 5.8 liter, (the police 5.8s were actually not much faster at all and plagued with a miserable 'variable venturi' carb). This vehicle is very peppy with good torque and perfect for long freeway drivin, which seems like what it was designed for. I truly hate to sel, but have run out of room and cannot bring this Ford back to CA. Steering wheel (with airbag) and seats are perfect-like new, I just ran out of room for additional pictures but can send more if requested.LOW RESERVE NOW!
