1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. As NICE as it gets!! Beautifully restored to 50's Hot Rod. Body, paint, interior all top shelf. The engine is a 48 Merc 59A block bored to 3 5/16+.030, 4" 49 Merc crank and is now believed to be 270 cu in. It has a Wenfield R1 cam, 1 5/8" valves, Harmon Collins du coil ignition, Edelbrock 2x2 polished intake, and polished Offy heads. Beautifully restored stock dash with all functioning instruments (although the odometer reads higher there's barely 2000 miles since completed. . A few of the local 40 Ford experts said this is one of the absolute best body and fenders they've seen. No repairs made in any of the usual problem areas. This is one of the tightest and quietest cars I've ever owned. It's like going down the road on a sofa!! Stock, flip up seat has tons of storage behind it in addition to the vast trunk. In addition to the stock fuel pump an electric was added so after sitting for a while you just run the electric for 5-10 seconds to get gas in the carbs for EZ starting. Beautiful detailing throughout. No disappointments. Also it was built to drive. The gentleman that built it and owned it before me said he built it to show as well as take drives up the California coast with his Wife. One of the nicest 40s I've seen anywhere!!!
