Description of 1971 Ford F-250 |
FOR SALE: One Classic 1971 Ford F250 HD Pick-Up Truck, V8 - 390 Engine, Automatic Transmission, fiberglass Camper shell, heavy duty rubber All Star bed liner, dual switchable gas tanks (approx. 40 gal total) & towing packing (that I seem to recall includes brakes, side mirrors, hitch, electrical connection and perhaps other items). At some point after we got the vehicle, my husband switched out the 360 engine for a 390 engine. The odometer has 118603 miles on it. I believe we got the fiberglass Camper shell from Leer, but I don’t readily see a brand name. We installed the Vornado Air Conditioning which really keeps you cool. It was working when the vehicle was last driven. The Pioneer, AM FM, cassette radio was also working when the truck was last driven. I am also leaving the Cobra 21X CB and Motorola Speaker. These too worked when the vehicle was last driven. After we put the new tires on the truck, we had planned to have it repainted so we started removing some of the trim. If I am able to locate the trim, I will do so; however, if not, what you see is what you get. Can’t vouch for the present condition of things or what works and what doesn’t, so it is the Buyer’s responsibility at his or her own expense to arrange, personally or through an agent, for inspection of the vehicle prior to bidding on and/or purchasing the vehicle inasmuch as the vehicle and all included items are offered for sale “as is” with no warranties. Additionally, the Buyer agrees that by bidding on and/or purchasing the vehicle and items, Buyer holds Seller harmless for all representations and claims of any nature regarding the same. The vehicle was used prior to our purchase to tow a horse trailer. For a number of years after we purchased the vehicle, it was used to pull a camp trailer and for camping. For a good number of years, the vehicle has been driven very little. For the past year and a half, it has not been driven or cranked. I recently tried cranking, but the battery is dead. About two and a half years ago a new set of Cooper Discovery HT tires were put on the vehicle so the tires, except time-wise, are new. There is surface rust on the vehicle and both doors have some heavy rust spots at the bottoms of the door. There are “rust through” areas on the floorboard on the passenger side. I have not inspected the underside of the vehicle and am pointing out only what I can readily see. The seat has tears and the dash has cracks. Please carefully inspect the photographs and arrange for your own inspection of the vehicle and other items as previously suggested. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE ADD. My husband purchased this vehicle in 1979: my brother purchased it from my husband in 1983, and I purchased it back from my brother in 1995. At that time in Georgia, no title was required - only a registration number was issued at the time and placed on the tag receipt. According to Georgia Department of Public Safety instructions: “When you sell/transfer ownership of a vehicle that does not require a title, give the new owner a copy of your registration and a bill-of-sale so that the new owner may apply for a tag in the county in which he or she lives within seven (7) business days of sale.” Accordingly, you will be receiving a signed tag receipt and a Bill of Sale. (A vehicle I sold to someone in Florida under the same circumstances required that I sign an Affidavit of Vehicle Sale). Because each State has different requirements of the documents needed so the vehicle can be titled and/or registered into a buyer’s name, you should check with your State’s motor vehicle department to make certain a signed tag receipt and Bill of Sale is sufficient. It is your responsibility to determine prior to purchasing the vehicle whether the transfer into your name under your State can be accomplished. Your failure to make certain that you can obtain a title and/or complete the transfer of the vehicle into your name could result in financial consequences that can be avoided by your due diligence. PLEASE NOTE: Seller reserve the right to end this auction and cancel bids at any time per the rules of Ebay at Seller’s discretion. TERMS OF PURCHASE. Please remember you are bidding to buy and the winning bidder is fully expected to fulfill their Ebay contract! You are not bidding to hold, then to come to inspect the truck before purchase. Any inspection must be done prior to bidding and/or purchase. A non-refundable deposit of $600 is required and must be paid via PayPal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. If, for any reason, the Buyer cannot or does not complete the transaction, the deposit is forfeited to the Seller and is non-refundable to the Buyer. The balance due is to be paid within 3 days of the close of the auction or at the time of pick up, if pick up is before 3 days. The balance due must be paid in cash or by wire transfer. The total purchase amount must be paid in full with cleared funds before the vehicle can be picked up. Absolutely no checks, money orders or cashiers checks. The costs of and arrangements for pick up and shipping are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. The vehicle must be picked up within 8 days of the close of the auction; otherwise, storage fees will begin to accrue at the rate of $ 10.00 per day which must be paid in cash at the time of pick up of the vehicle. Buyer agrees to make the $600 non-refundable deposit and to contact the Seller within 24 hours of auction end to confirm payment and transport arrangements. If Buyer fails to make the deposit payment and contact the Seller within 24 hours, Buyer agrees that Seller may seek the non-refundable deposit and any fees incurred for any breach and cancellation from the bidder by opening a nonpaying bidder case. In addition, by purchasing the vehicle and items, Buyer agrees to hold Seller harmless from any “acts of God”, damages or loss sustained by the vehicle after Buyer’s purchase. Time is of the essence with regard to any bidder purchase. If you have any questions, the time to ask them is prior to bidding. |
