Description of 1975 Ford Bronco |
1975 Bronco Low Miles on Mechanical Restoration Strong Running 351W with 4 Barrel Intake Manifold Crisp Shifting C4 Automatic Transmission New Power Steering Power Front Disc Brakes Nicely Detailed Undercarriage Yakima Bike & Ski Rack Brand New Set of 5 Polished Aluminum Wheels Brand New Set of 5 33” Traction Tires This is a great looking Bronco in the classic Holly Green paint with Chrome Sport Trim. With 2 ½” of lift there is just enough room to cleanly fit & clear those 33” tires. A simple note from the exhaust lets you know this Bronco is powered by something much more ‘Significant’ than the wheezy 120 horsepower 302 it originally came with. This Bronco comes with a file of receipts chronicling the extensive work performed since 1997. The body on this Bronco is good and solid. It still wears its original floor pans and rockers, which is very rare in the Bronco kingdom. The paint was done in 1997 and there are receipts for it. Thankfully it has seen very few miles since then and has mostly been stored rather than driven. The paint is still quite presentable with a good shine on a solid truck. There are some of the normal imperfections but easily nice enough to enjoy proudly. The side moldings were just replaced and look excellent. New light lenses and bezels really look nice on this one too. Inside the interior is in great condition with nice carpet, custom upholstered seats and reproductions door panels. The dash is in order with clean knobs & bezels and a properly working Factory Instrument Cluster. Under the hood the 351 Windsor engine is nicely detailed. Receipt documentation shows that it is a Performance Rebuild from Portland Engine Rebuilders. The engine has clocked 13,500 miles since installation. When you drive this Bronco there is no question that this is not a stock Bronco. The 351 produces gobs of low end torque and plenty of horsepower as the rpm’s climb. The C4 automatic trans also carries a receipt documented rebuild. It goes into gear quickly and shifts crisply. This Bronco is optioned very well for a driver or a recreational escape vehicle. This one drives nicely and behaves well at freeway speeds (1 hand driving at 70) so you can get to work or the mountains without being worn out from just trying to stay on the road. It has just enough lift to clear the upsized tires and provide those good, classic looks everyone wants without making a ‘base jump’ to get out. With Power Front Disc Brakes you can stop reliably in traffic as well as that steep mountain trail. The Disc Brakes have low mileage on them since installation, under 500 miles. Pretty much anybody who has driven a Bronco with larger tires on knows that Power Steering is a must. This Bronco has it and it is in good condition. The pump has been upgraded to a Saginaw style pump for better reliability. The steering box is a rebuilt unit from Redhead Steering. These 2 options are really Must-Haves in the Bronco world. The tires & wheels have very low miles on them as well, less than 500. With an aggressive tread pattern you have the traction to deal with off-road challenges. A 17” wheel gives you a more modern look as well as a better ‘turn in’ than you would have from a 15” wheel. The full size spare not only looks good but gives you the proper equipment if you were to somehow damage a tire in the back country. With a large file showing the work history that dates back into the 90’s you have pretty much all of the information you need showing the mechanical history of this Bronco. Receipts included show the engine rebuild, transmission rebuild, suspension work and more. The Yakima Roof Rack is a nice addition that gives you the extra space for coolers and gear for camping trips with more than 2 passengers. They are easily removed when you don’t need it. They also give you a very easy lifting point for hoisting them to the rafters in your garage for out of the way storage of an otherwise hard to store item. Some of the photos show a winch equipped front bumper. It is available with the Bronco if desired. It is currently not installed. This Bronco combines the right options of good looks, ease of use and documented work that will make this one a joy to own. |
