Call… 706-831-1899 Up for auction is a drop dead knockout 1966 Ford Mustang Pony. The car has been restored from top to bottom including the entire drivetrain & suspension. (Receipts come with the car) I purchased the car locally (from the guy who had the car restored). and he always kept this Classic Mustang garaged and spotless. He told me that the car had not been in the rain since it was restored almost 10 years ago. He purchased the car from California and we have the receipts and insurance cards from the previous 2 California owners dating back 20 years. The car is rust free and always has been. It still has the original floor pans with the original red oxide paint on them as well. This Mustang has an excellent body! The paint & body portion of the restoration was done by Baileys Paint & Body (Danny Bailey). Danny is considered to be one of the best paint & body men in the area and the quality of this car show it to be true. The paint is as slick as glass with a mirror finish and all of the lines and gaps are excellent in my opinion. The chrome bumpers. the trim. glass. and all of the bright work are in great condition as well. The wheels are American Racing Torq-Thrust D Series Wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TA’s. The front tires are P195/70R14’s with P235/60R15’s on the rear. The car and the stance are just right and the car looks awesome. The engine and transmission. the rear end. disc brake conversion from SSBC. new steering box. and the entire new front end were all restored and rebuilt professionally by ATC of Augusta. ATC Auto Center has been in business in Augusta GA for 60 years. Mr. Carl Weeks and his two sons (Brian & Chris) have built their business on quality car care and excellent service. Not only that but they also have one of the finest Classic Mustang collections in the southeast and they are the go to guys for Mustang work… I personally have had several transmissions built by these guys and they are the best without a doubt. I said all of that so that you can rest assured that this Ford Mustang Pony is mechanically sound and as reliable as they come. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive this car anywhere. As mentioned above it is a 289ci V8 with a nice sounding street cam and built for performance and reliability. It runs nice and cool with the 4-Row Champion aluminum radiator and Billet overflow tube. It has a Weiand Stealth aluminum intake with a Holley 600cfm with electric choke. It has Ford Racing billet aluminum valve covers. Billet under drive pulleys. Mustang Cobra breather. MSD ignition with 6AL box and MSD Blaster coil. The wires are Accel Hi-Temp. It sounds great with headers (heat wrapped) and dual Flow Master mufflers and stainless exhaust out the rear. The transmission is a performance built C4 Automatic with 3. 55 rear end gear. This Mustang does not have power steering. Not only did ATC do the work initially on the Mustang; there are also several maintenance receipts and odds and ends such as a 4-wheel alignment since the restoration. The owner took very good care of this Mustang and he took a lot of pride in the car and it shows. The black Pony Interior is in good condition. not perfect. but very good. It has a 15” nostalgia Walnut steering wheel with working horn. It also has a fiberglass dash mounted gauge cluster including Volt meter. oil pressure. and water temp and it lights up red. The heater and defrost work great and is basically all new including ducts. duct hoses. cables. and heater core. It does not have AC; however it still has the AC under dash unit attached. It has a center console. new glove box. all new door seals. and the headliner is in good condition. It has a steering column mounted Sunpro Super Tach. All of the lights. turn signals. and the wipers work. All of the lens. parking lights. retainers. and gaskets are all new. The original AM radio does not work. The entire front end is new including the upper and lower control arms. outer & inner tie rods. tie rod adjusting sleeves. urethane front sway bar end links. strut and bushing kits. coil spring . ounting seats w/rubber bushings. and front coil spring insulators. All of that with the new power steering and this little Red Pony drives down the road straight and true and is a real pleasure to drive! The bottom of the car is all original and rust free including the original floors. I was going to detail the bottom of the car however after scraping off the undercoating I discovered the original Red Oxide paint and so I decided to leave it like that. This is a very good car and the new owners will certainly be happy with it. The previous owner was meticulous with the car.
