This 1968 Ford Mustang is all about being an iconic and affordable classic coupe with interesting pieces to grab attention every time someone looks at the details. It's hard to go wrong with a red Mustang, especially one from 1968. You still get all the iconic lines of the original design, but it was just elongated a little bit to give a sportier design to the front and rear. The paint looks quite nice in the sunshine thanks to a more modern application of the bold red. Plus, this one gets the details right. The bumpers have a mirror shine; the lenses are complete and clear; the factory hubcaps still look fantastic; and the iconic sheetmetal hangs exceptionally well even after nearly a half-century on this earth. Plus, everyone loves to see the deluxe hood with rear facing louvers that contain the turn signal indicators.Inside this Mustang feels premium and very original. The bucket seats look great thanks to being recovers in the correct texture o black vinyl. They retain the nice ribbed pattern that's repeated in the back seat and on the doors. The driver gets the round gauge package that came on later versions of the first-gen Mustangs, and ahead of that we are delighted to see no one has traded the original premium steering wheel for an aftermarket unit. In fact, this one seems to have all its major factory components right down to the correct AM radio. Plus, the coupe has provisions for air conditioning. This kind of great presentation even extends to the trunk where there is the correct matting for the floor and cover for the full-sized spare.Under the hood is where this coupe is going to get most of its attention. By bucking the trend of adding a V8, not too many people see the 200 cubic-inch inline six motors anymore. This T-code unit looks like a true factory survivor all dressed in its Ford blue. These Sprint motors are quite durable and even offer a spirited performance when you plant your right foot. While we like to think the GT and Shelby versions are where the Mustang grew its legend, it's really on coupes like this. The original weekend warrior machine needed to be one package that provided reliable transport for the weekdays and something fun for the weekends. That's why it comes with great anytime driving features such as power steering, three-speed automatic transmission, and the grip of modern Hankook tires.Complete with owner's manual, this is the kind of Mustang that offers the ability to fit in with the rest in the classic car crowd while still being distinctive. All of this is at such an affordable price that you know it's within nearly anyone's grasp. So you may want to hurry and call today!
