1933 Ford Model 40 Deluxe Fordor Sedan Concours restored ’33 Deluxe Fordor Sedan! Cartouche interior. rebuilt original drivetrain and plenty of options! Truly one of the nicest available! Continuing upon the success of the ’32 Ford. with its mildly revised bodywork and newly introduced Flathead V8. Ford upped the ante for 1933. The x-frame chassis was lengthened four inches to 112. the fenders were valanced. new center-dip single piece bumpers were incorporated and the iconic sloping shovel grille was used for the first time. All 1933 Fords received an updated 75 horsepower Flathead V8 that experienced revised cooling. improved ignition. aluminum cylinder heads and higher compression. All 1933 Fords left their respective factories with black fenders and 17 inch wire wheels. Calendar year sales totaled 311. 13 units in over ten body styles. Many of these cars were hot rodded and finding a good. honest original car gets tougher every year. As such. they are valued by collectors the world over! The car is fitted with a correct 221ci Flathead V8 with original aluminum heads and three-speed manual transmission. The car is fitted with a host of options including dual windshield wipers. dual horns. cowl lights. front and rear bumperettes. steel spare tire cover. twin tail lamps. driver side-view mirror. electric dash clock. rear courtesy light. dual visors and a rear sunshade! The car rides on its correct red wire wheels with “V8” hubcaps and 5. 50-17 Firestone Deluxe Champion gum-dipped tires. The previous Illinois owner of this Fordor treated the car to a full frame-off restoration in 2012. Starting with a very solid body with abundant factory spot welds and straight Henry Ford steel. the car was stripped and finished in a modern base coat/clear coat style and polished to a tremendous shine. The red pinstripe extends down the side of the car as well as on each hood louver. The red wheels without whitewalls really gives this car a unique look. Inside. the car received a full 1933-specific Cartouche interior kit that still shows minimal to no signs of use. The original Flathead V8 was completely rebuilt and the engine bay was detailed to an arguably better-than-new shine. The undercarriage was also stripped and powder coated. with all steering. brake. and suspension components replaced as needed. Every aspect of this car is in like-new condition and you’ll be hard pressed to find any defects at all. The engine and transmission are in full working order. as are all lights. switches and even the dash clock.
