Description of 1960 Ford F-100 |
Ok....Up for sale is my 1960 ford f100 4x4 with clean title. I bought this truck in Albuquerque NM. It has a running but tired 292 V8 engine. The truck is in fairly good shape. There is rust in the inner front sections of the cab and 2-3 spots on the bed. I haven't noticed any other rust in the truck . The interior of the truck is in very decent condition. Its got a nice seat and the dash is in great shape. It is missing the drivers side window and it has a piece of plexi-glass stuck in its place to keep the rain out. I rebuilt the carb and it helped as far as the engine running but in the end it will need rebuilt. I recently had a 292 rebuilt and they are fairly cheap so I wouldn't worry about that cost as compared to something like a flathead. The 4x4, and the drive train works well. The majority of the lights work on the truck. I think I have one front bulb out. The clutch master and the slave both slowly leak but once bled stay up for about 3 months. Same goes for the brake master. If the truck is bought for the asking price I have new of all three units and will include with the sale. I put 4 brand new tires on the truck this summer that are similar to all of the old 4x4 pickups that I own or have come across. The factory rims are on the truck and are 16 inches, The previous owner replaced a couple of the freeze plugs with rubber pipe plugs and the radiator has a small leak on the bottom tank that need brazed. Its not in the seam which makes it easy, but I haven't had the chance to fix it yet. None of these have cause any over heating problems on seeping when parked for long periods of time. The truck is in overall really good shape for a vintage 4x4. I own a few older 4x4's including a napco and this one is the looker of the the bunch. To some that may sound like a boastful comment, but these trucks when new where not very well taken care of and often beaten (literally) into the ground. If you do find one its either $$ because they had to fix a bunch of things or its in fairly bad shape. I really don't want to sell this truck or any of the other vehicles I will be listing soon, but I'm having twins at the end of october so I need to thin the herd. I know I am asking a fair price so lowball offers will be ignored. Don't hesitate to ask questions of contact me I am an open book on this truck.Below is two ids that can be copy and pasted into youtube's search browser of when I first got the truck. jv8L07KaF4g WtYrWDYIMyA |
