Description of 1985 Ford Mustang |
Unfortunately the time has come that I have to sell my SVO. The 1985.5 is the rarest of already rare car. There was only 439 1985 1/2 SVOs made. Hagerty says this is the one to have for collector value. The Good: new timing belt and tensioners, valve cover gasket, new Motorcraft plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor, ported E6 exhaust manifold, rebuilt and calibrated fuel injectors, new complete tire set, exhaust mufflers and tailpipes, front brake calipers and brake lines, lowering springs, new carpet, new dash pad, new gas tank and fuel pump, new tailights. Front seats are in almost perfect condition. Excellent compression on all cylinders...very smooth running. Everything works except a/c. Car runs and drives great...I drive it everyday to work. The Bad: the paint is shot, there is several dings and scratches..nothing a complete paint job wouldn't fix. The window weather stripping is cracked and needs to be replaced. Drivers door handle is loose, drivers door and fender has been backed into as pictured. Minor rust on the bottom of doors not visible from outside. I am including a spare driver's SVO door and hinge kit. Although it may be just as easy to fix the original. The a/c is all there but does not work. Headliner is sagging. Back seat bottom has a tear in it. Windshield is cracked. Headlights were yellow so I sprayed them with removable black tint spray. This will be a great car to finish restoring..but my new pay structure and schedule leaves me lacking time and money. This will be one that I will surely regret selling. Clear title in hand. |
