Description of 1985 Ford F-350 |
Updated 8-30-2016 I am interested in selling my truck to a buyer who can enjoy it like I did but no longer have time to. I spent 2 years doing a frame off restoration on this truck about 10 years ago. All sheet metal is new except the cab which was very solid. The Fenders are Brand new from LMC. The hood is a fiberglass cowl induction style, the doors are from a 1996 F-150 with the smaller power chrome "cup mirrors" and power windows. The bed is from a 1997 F-350 Dually with a new tailgate. The Engine is a bored out 460 big block completely rebuilt. MSD ignition, Elect fuel pump, Edlebrok intake and carb, long tube headers and full 3" exhaust. The Suspension, Lift, Centerforce dual plane clutch, custom exhaust with flowmasters and stainless tips, brakes, Alcoa wheels, tires, paint, (all steel body NO PUTTY) seat, grille and chrome, bumpers, bed liner, bed cover, etc etc etc. were all NEW! The 4-speed transmission with granny gear, transfer case and axles and cab are original/stock with approx 120K. There are many parts that I searched for to complete the truck and make it "show worthy" that were not availible new so I had to find nice used pieces such as interior trim, etc. The carpet should have been replaced but I didnt get to it. The tires are 35" TSL Super Swampers. I drove the dually last fall for the first ime in about 2 years, I can tell it is in need of some TLC. I put in a battery and it fired right up although the exhaust smelled of old fuel. I would suggest at least a good tune-up, clean the carb, and fresh gas before driving it again. RELIST UPDATE:I poured in about 10 gallons of fresh 93 octane and put a new fuel filter on. The truck now runs and smells MUCH better! Although I still suggest towing/trailer it home and going over it before putting it back on the road. This truck is registered as a Classic in PA. I will transfer the tags to the buyer if you are a Pennsylvania resident who plans to enjoy it as a pleasure vehicle and pay VERY LOW insurance premiums. (I had the truck appraised after I finished it for insurance reasons. It is insured for the full $25,000 appraisal with no deductable and costs less than $500 a year!) Please feel free to contact me with any questions, I know this truck inside and out and I would be happy to answer any questions, send pictures, or meet with you to take a closer look, before you bid. 610-509-6583 Dave Located half way between Reading and Allentown PA, 1 mile off 78/22 ******** This truck began its life as a Single Rear Wheel F-350, IF you dont want it as a dually I am willing to remove the bud wheels and adapters. I would take my 6 wheels and tires off along with the adapters and knock off $1500 from the purchase price. You would then have to bring your own 4 wheels and tires with you when you come to pick it up.******** |
