1930 Ford Model 'A' pickup, chopped and channeled. Stands 52" tall at rear of cab. This rod's frame was custom built with 2" x 4" rectangular tubing and stretched 10" over stock to fit the monster Cadillac engine. Floor pan and trans tunnel all custom built from 14 gauge sheet metal to allow for the super low stance of the car. The completely rebuilt Ford 8" rear end is hung with coil overs, has a 3.00 ratio and is equipped with 4-barlinks.To keep the front end low, it is equipped with a droppedI-beam axle with split wishbones and spring behind the axle. Front brakes are Speedway disk brake kit. Rear brakes are standard Ford drum. Mastercylinder is a Mustang duel unit with proportional valveand 2 and 10 pound residual check valves. Steering isVega cross steering with custom one off column. Notice that the steering wheel is removable for ease of entry. Dash is from a 1941 Mercury with Intelletronix digital gauges. Seats and door panels are patterned after bomber units withcopper rivets for that coollook with padding inserted for comfort. Body work and paint are over a nice original body. The body was chopped 4" and painted in a brilliant black single stage paint. The frame and all other components were powder coated to protect against all types of corrosion. Engine is a 1968 Cadillac 472 cubic inch big block backed by a 400 Turbo Hydro transmission. Radiator is a custom built aluminum unit with overflow tank wrapped in a Ford Model 'T' shell. Headlights are Ford Model 'T' while the taillights are Ford Model 'A' with custom brackets. It rolls on powder coated steely wheels with stainless rings and caps. All new glass in the cab with glue in front and rear windows. Door windows can berolled up and downwith stock Model 'A' regulators. Gas tank is a spun aluminum unitwith 9 gallon capacity. This Model 'A' is a pure example of the hot rod communities most desirable rides. Buyer is responsible for shipping and all shipping costs.
