Description of 1968 Ford Mustang |
1968 Ford Mustang Coupe with 88-92 302 Roller Cam motor with Edelbrock aluminum heads and 5 speed manual transmission. No rust anywhere on this car! I built this as a project while going through my last round of chemo. All parts bought and work done in 2015. Car has been parked in my garage since I went into home hospice in Dec 2015, but I have a friend come by and drive car around block a couple of times a month. I purchased the car with the newly rebuilt motor and put everything else in new. Less than 1,500 miles on all. This car is a beast! Throttle response is super crisp and has great torque curve. 1st gear will break wheels loose at will from 1500 up. Brakes are great, but they are manual so you have to put you foot into them. I was going to add the vacuum assist unit they sell, but did not get to it. Also, rear discs have emergency brakes built into them, but the stock cable needs to be replaced for them to work. It can be had at www.rockauto.com Car drives as smoothly as any mid 60's car I have ever driven. Previous owner did the paint. I had it clay waxed by a detailer and he said the paint is very good quality paint, but they didn't do a great job on the prep. There are a couple of small dings (on hood someone had a long air cleaner bolt and closed the hood on it, it's not that noticeable because it's white). The alignment on hood & front fenders is off slightly. It is Brilliant White paint and shines like a diamond when cleaned. Make me an offer! If you have any questions,Call or text at (949) 274-1398 between hours of 12 noon and 11pm Pacific time, thanks! Mike
