Hi you are looking at a 1934 Ford model A pickup. RAT ROD. This build was started with a real steel 1934 Model A pickup that had been stored in a gentleman's basement for 35+ years. he started to restore it and never finished it. The truck was completely torn down the frame and the original frame was boxed. Every brake line and fuel line was replaced. A brand new 4" drop axle was installed. A 10 bolt rear end with Eaton 3:55 posi was set in with a 4 link suspension with complete air ride front and rear suspension. It has Ride Tech Shock Waves with a 7 way controller. The cab of the truck was chopped 5" and the bed shortend 7" to give it the sinister look it has. The body was completely sandblasted primed and sprayed with a Lexus blue base coat. then clear coated with a flat clear which eliminates any chalkiness like the cheap Hod Rod paints. The truck was then pinstriped and lettered by Ol' Skool Custom Graphics. The drive train consists of a 5. 3 Chevy LS fuel injected motor that was taken from a pickup with only 50. 00 miles on it. Mated up to that is a rebuilt turbo 400 transmission. After the drive train was installed and running it was professionally tuned on a dyno to insure maximum performance and reliability. The exhaust is completely custom and has custom inserts that come out the side of the frame. The bed floor was cut from cabinet grade plywood and the grooves were routered into it giving it the impression of the wood slats. Mounted to that is an antique Coke cooler which houses the fuel cell. the battery and the compressor for the air ride. keeping them out of the elements. Mounted behind that is the tank for the air ride. The tailgate is fully functional. the windshield tilts out like original. and the front vent is functional. The interior has leather bucket seats with working seat belts. Dolphin gauges. a CD player. the horn and all the lights work. and it even has working windshield wipers!! The wheels are custom made American Racing Salt Flats. The rear tires are Piecrust drag radials and the fronts are Firestone Excelerators. This is no low budget build. This truck was built to have the appearance of a rat rod with safety and comfort of a modern vehicle. which it is just that.
