The car is a complete, 100% BRAND NEW COMPONENT BUILD from the first nut to the last washer and everything in between. There are NO PRE-OWNED or REFURBISHED PARTS on the car. Every single item is BRAND NEW, and there are included receipts for almost $20,000 in JUST PARTS alone!!!!! The body is a custom fabricated unit that was specially ordered and hand-laid and manufactured featuring a 6” stretch to accommodate taller and heavier driver and passenger. The body has a square steel tube skeleton inside, which all of the doors and trunk lid are affixed to with metal hinges for strength and rigidity. The body panel fit is impeccable, and the trunk and side doors close and latch better than most steel bodied cars! Everything has new weather seals around it, and all of the latches and hardware line up and actuate PERFECTLY with no signs of scuffed paint or rubbed areas from ill-fitting panels. The trunk has a build in prop rod to keep it open, and it is fully finished with custom-cut panels treated to a thick nap automotive grade carpet perfectly fit from wall to wall inside it. Vented fuel filler with billet cap protrudes from the back wall, while the new battery resides in the center under a finished to match cover for perfect weight distribution. Professionally labeled and loomed wiring is tucked against the rear wall, and what doesn’t go to the tail lamps heads through a rubber seal in the floor where it gets routed through the frame. All hardware is stainless and new, and the under car pull release and latch to open the trunk work perfectly. About 95% of the hardware on the car is brand new stainless from Fastenal. A couple things like the oil pan and some of the brake components used the hardware they came with, which now has the typical oxidation on it. The original Model A frame, with the VIN stamped in the rail that matches the VIN plate in the door jamb and the 1930 FORD title, was completely cleaned, stripped and blasted to bare metal, de-tabbed and smoothed, checked on a frame straightener, and made to be BRAND NEW before being treated to a completely new suspension system including all new components for everything from front to back! Universal radius rods, hairpin radius rods, Kingpins, chrome shocks, axle mounting brackets, wheel bearings, cones, spindles, panhard bars, springs, radius rods, shock mounts, spring perches, heim joints, Vega steering box, Vega pitman arm, tie rod, tie rod hardware, clamps, links, jam nuts, E-Brake, seals, blah, blah, blah, blah. IF YOU SEE IT ON THE CAR IN THE PICUTRES, IT IS BRAND NEW. ALL NEW. ALL PARTS. EVERYTHING. IT’S ALL NEW. Brand new 4-wheel Disc brake system works perfectly, and stops this Rod on a dime while leaving you nine cents change. A BRAND NEW GM Goodwrench crate motor was ordered and treated to an Offenhauser intake, MSD ignition system, non-functional tri-power (only middle is hooked up), billet fan, Moon outside temp gauge, new engine and trans mounts, braided stainless lines, GM chrome alternator, billet dress-up goodies, aircraft fittings, performance fuel pump, custom inline fuel filter, and so much more! It is dressed up with finned valve covers, some chrome goodies, and all new hardware throughout, and is reflected from every angle by the show polished firewall insert. It breathes and sounds amazing through the LAKESTER style exhaust system, and stays ultra-cool thanks to a high-flow water pump and CHAMPION Performance aluminum radiator that keeps it down to 176 degrees even on the hottest of Florida days! Braking system is all braided lines, new fittings throughout. The brand new GM turbo 350 transmission is a stock build and has a factory style kick down, and hidden shift control to make room for passenger space in the cabin. Driveshaft is new, as is the brand new 9” FORD rear end purchased complete with 31 spline performance axles and highway friendly 3.23 gear ratio that lets you tach around 3000 RPM at 70mph. Shifts are smooth and seamless, and the car was built for reliability and ease of maintenance, but will still smoke the tires with ease should you want to! 249 was the stock horsepower from GM, so with the exhaust, intake, and carb additions to the car, I would guess it is somewhere in the 275hp range. PLENTY to have fun with on a car that weighs less than most full-dress Harley motorcycles! Chassis is clean and made for go, not show, but it all shows like new underneath and most parts still have the stickers on them from the factory!!!! All lines are either braided, or heavy duty versions of what they need to be, and everything is cleanly and neatly routed as well. The body is cleanly and neatly fit to the chassis with all new mounts and bushings throughout. A 32 grill shell with red insert looks fantastic on the car, and the stretched body only lets you know it’s longer when you’re sitting inside it! The body in gel coat was carefully smoothed and prepped for paint after all the gaps and fit and finish were perfected. Multiple layers of TUXEDO BLACK paint coat the car, and it has all been wet-sanded and buffed to a mirror quality finish as you can see in the 100 photos of the car. It MAY, and I say MAY, have a handful of blemishes on the body. I actually can say I saw two, one of which is a hairline scuff about 4mm long, and the other one, well, I couldn’t find it again so it is somewhere, but equally as miniscule. It really does show better in person than in the photos, because the Tuxedo Black has just a bit of tiny flake in it to capture the light! The car shows like a brand new build because it is, and I really can’t think of anything to point out that is wrong with it. The removable soft top was custom made for the car, and has a zip down rear window for air flow. It is in flawless and issue free condition. One person can remove the 4 small bolts and undo the snaps holding it on, and lift it right off the car since it only weighs about 15 pounds! Putting it on again is a breeze, and after you’ve done it a couple times you’ll be able to remove or reinstall it in about 4 minutes. If you want to have fold down functionality, just remove the bolt holding the folding mechanism on the top intact, and it will fold back into itself. With the extended body, it looks a little funny, but you can decide! No rips, tears, seam pulls to be found because the whole entire thing is NEW!!!! Show polished windshield posts are new, as are the headlights, frenched tail lamps, hidden marker lamps, and everything else on the car. The WHEELSMITH provided the brand new Series 12 Smoothie wheels, which were sent out for powdercoating in vibrant red before being installed with Stainless artillery caps and trim rings. Wheels are 16 inch diameter out back, and 15 inch up front. Inside, everything is 100% BRAND NEW as well!!!!!! Door panels are covered in custom hand stitched red leather with chrome inside tab handles. Door sill plates were installed for a finished look. Driver side inner door jamb holds the FORD VIN plate with a matching number to the 1930 FORD TITLE. The red leather covers the custom made bench seat, designed for taller folks in mind with a bottom that angles toward the back, and reclined back. The seat moves forward and backward, and even has twin cup holders built into the base that fold in when not in use! Rear seat back folds flat to reveal a storage area behind it, full red leather trim throughout, and map pockets behind the seat for more storage. Full automotive grade thick weave black carpeting runs from front to back, and is installed over layers of sound and heat proofing. It, of course, is new. The chrome steering column with drop has billet controls for the tilt, hazards, and signals, and is topped with a new 3-spoke banjo wheel with FORD V8 insert and leather wrapped surround that looks perfect in the car! Keen eyes will see that the custom shifter was routed to the left of the seat on the driver side, and it is easy to access and operate when in the car, has a safety clip to put in place when not driving, and is adjacent to the high beam switch which is activated by finger. Having the shift off the floor and off the column makes for a LOT more leg room and knee room for driver and passenger! Lokar supplied the gas pedal, and C&G supplied the brake pedal, both of which are under the column with plenty of room to get to them. Headlight pull is hidden out of the way for a clean dash look, and the 1932 FORD dash panel looks amazing fit with the new DAKOTA DIGITAL VHX gauge system that is all calibrated and functioning as it should. The entire modern fuse block system is under the dash, and has a swing down panel that puts them right in your face should you ever need to replace one. All of the wiring is numbered and cleanly routed so years down the road you will know what goes where on the car. Seat belts for driver and passenger are secure and installed correctly. Chrome rear view looks great and provides a strong field of view with the side mount mirrors. Red light magnifier is beside the rear view and slides into place when needed. Oh, and did I mention ALL THE STUFF I JUST TALKED ABOUT IS BRAND NEW!!!!!!!! The car has already had the shake down completed. Everything has been tweaked and adjusted to perfection, and it has had a fresh full fluid service. At 2,000 miles, you will need to do another lube-oil-filter service, and then get to 4,000 mile intervals after that. The car needs NOTHING!!!!! I have personally driven it about 78 miles, and find it to be a joy in town or cruising to the next town on the highway! It will roll along at 70mph with no problem, has plenty of power to pass or show off, and sounds incredible going down the road with a nice mellow rumble that barks under hard throttle.
