An American beauty! Ford sure did know what they were doing when they designed the 1955 Fairlane Crown Victoria! 1955 was the first year for the Crown Victoria trim which was top of the line on the Fairlane. This particular car has been restored well at some point in the past but is not quite perfect. The paint is excellent with no hazing or major flaws in the finish. It looks stunning in the sunlight! The leather interior is factory appropriate two tone leather that matches the exterior in color and condition. It is a very stunning car. Overall, it needs very little to be in excellent condition. The motor has been replaced with a very solid running 292 cubic inch V-8, which was an optional motor in 1955. With just under 18,000 miles since restoration the motor runs strong with no known mechanical issues. A bolt on air conditioning system was installed at some point in the past and it works well. At some point a small spot in the driver seat leather formed and a repair was attempted by a previous owner. Additionally there are a few small spots in the paint that could be reworked but are not noticeable without looking for them. We've tried to include them in the pictures above the rear wheels but they are small and hard to see. If you're interested in the car, we'd love to show you this beautiful piece of American history.
