Great Uncle's passed, his Galaxie hauled off, older family members wanted car (purchased) back, I purchased back (I am 61 relatives in 80's). Taken right into shop since car sat in Vegas 'covered' since 12-2000.... $11,000 was spent purchasing and restoring to this point, older relatives lost it, thought it should be 'a couple of grand to fix' ................ so .......................... Rust free 1965 Galaxie 500 Convertible with 352 (5.8 liter) V-8 Automatic (FX SMALL, runs, drives, ready for final completion, but not by me ................................ car was in San Diego in 1980's ......................... put new Kuhmo tires on 15" OEM rims ............. shop removed gas tank/lines, cleaned and sealed, with NEW sending unit. Holley carb leaked, new one installed (have original), new fuel pump ......... Distributor (with points) replaced with MSD Solid State Distributor & matching New Coil ............. cooling system flushed and replaced with modern radiator with electric fan/with auto thermostat. New battery/ solenoid. Galaxie has boxed front end and welded in Traction bar on rear en, ,,,,,,,,,,,, trany has leaks around shifter, will need resealing, but runs and drives fine. Great running shape, just needs interior/rag top, hydraulic on top need overhaul ........................ yes a lot of money, car was in shop 3 months for repairs, but with just the interior to do (yes you can do it, its a 1965), and seal trany, if it doesn't stop leaking on own ........... Driven it 2 hours since bringing home, tons of things done to it not listed ................. left my families Ebay account (we used since 2004 with over 1250 100% positive feedbacks) thanks for looking, so when you see other Galaxie's listed that just need 'a sending unit' or gas tank needs cleaning, look out $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ... about 9 months left on shop's warranty on items listed above....
