PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE DESCRIPTION FULLY! Up for sale is a beautiful, 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe. This is a pro-built, fully customized restorod driver/cruiser built in 2012. There is so much custom work done to this car, it's hard to cover it all, so it has been broken down in sections below to be sure you get the full story! HISTORY: The neutral safety and backup light switches work correctly. A complete build sheet is included with the car so you know what everything is. There is no guessing when you need to replace brake pads or other parts or what parts to order. BODY AND PAINT: All the chrome and trim is either new or in like new condition. As noted in the "condition" notes above, there is a small dent next to the passenger side backup light. There is also a spot on the driver's rear quarter panel that has been touched up. It is noticeable but not bad. The overall quality of the paint is a good driver quality but not show quality. This was a daily driver and has been driven in all weather conditions. It has some small scratches and imperfections. The floors are original and solid. As stated, this is a southern California car so no rust. INTERIOR: The parking brake has been changed from the pull out style to a step on/step off pedal on the kick panel. When the parking brake is on, the brake warning light on the dash lights up. It also lights up when the brake fluid is low. Everything was thought out and engineered to work properly and like a modern vehicle when this car was built. The steering column is a GM tilt telescoping unit with locking steering. It has been rebuilt so everything is tight and working correctly. The telescoping feature is operated by a small lever on the steering wheel. It allows the steering wheel five inches of movement in and out so you can find a comfortable driving position. The high beam switch is on the turn signal switch stalk. Not on a floor button like the original stock vehicle. The high beam indicator on the dash comes on with the high beams. The four way flashers are on the column and work correctly. The wiper switch is in the stock ignition switch location. It is a three-speed intermittent unit. The three positions to the right are low, medium and high. Turn the knob to the left for intermittent function. The radio is mounted in the console and is a Jensen single DIN unit with a pop-out double DIN screen. It has CD/DVD player, USB input and satellite navigation. All the instructions manuals are included. All four windows are power. The stock crank handles are the switches. Push forward to raise, pull back to lower. The door lock and trunk release are power also. You get two remotes and two keys with the car. One key works everything - the door locks, the trunk and the ignition switch. Seat belts are retractor belts mounted to the sub frame. Unlike other aftermarket seat belt conversions, this is done correctly. It will not come loose or compress your spine in a crash. The heat and A/C controls are in the stock radio location. Everything works correctly and the A/C blows cold. UNDER THE HOOD: The transmission is a heavy duty AOD unit that is also rebuilt to stock. As you can see in the photos, an aluminum radiator is running electric fans that are controlled by a temp sensor in the engine. They come on automatically at operating temperature and with the A/C. The A/C blows cold. The car is also equipped with power rack and pinion steering and power brakes. FRONT SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: If you know Mustangs, you know the problems with the factory front suspensions. Poor geometry and design coupled with leaky power steering with no road feel made these cars unpleasant to drive. For that reason, the factory front suspension was completely replaced with a 1991 Toyota Supra front suspension. The Supra is 800 pounds heavier than the Mustang so it's plenty strong. It comes with power rack and pinion and 12-inch disk brakes. The front shocks are adjustable ride height coil over units. The Supra suspension also has a 21mm front sway bar. This Mustang now has sports car handling with a comfortable ride with no squeaks or leaks like a stock Mustang would have. You will not believe how well this car drives, rides and handles. REAR SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: OTHER CUSTOM UPGRADES: The gas cap has been converted to a swing-open door to cover a modern twist-off gas cap. It makes it easier to fuel up and prevents theft or loss of the chrome cap. The battery is mounted in a battery box in the trunk. It is correctly vented to the outside. The wheels are 16-inch units with McGuard lug nuts and wheel locks. The center caps are held on with lock rings from the back so they can't be removed without taking the wheel off. No coming out to find your center caps gone. The antenna is a power unit that comes up when the radio is on and goes down when it is off. it is correctly mounted so no rattles or cracks in the paint. **IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS THAT ARE NOT ANSWERED HERE, PLEASE CONTACT US AND WE WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER.
