I took this truck in on trade on a car I had. The guy had been working on it for 3 years. He had done a lot of upgrades to it. He had it 85 % finished. 460 V-8 with custom motor mounts. Brand new distributor. Ford automatic transmission. Ford 9 inch rear end with big brakes and a nice gear ratio . New shocks. Power brake booster and master cyl. Front disc brake conversion with all new calipers, bearings, rotors, pads. Toyota power steering box conversion. New gas tank and sending unit. New dual exhaust system. New floors were put in the cab. Body work was all done. Shaved hood . Emblem delete. It was stripped down to the frame, the frame was sandblasted and painted. The exterior paint is a flat black with sanded thru patina. Motor sounds and runs great. He did not have the glass, running boards, or seat for it. ( a S-10 works great and are only $ 75.00.) The brake lines are not 100 percent run. The power steering lines are not run. Needs wiring. Starts and runs. Needs a bunch of little stuff . Its not a show truck. Under a $ 1000.00 worth of parts and a few weekends to finish it. Its a very cool truck with all the hard stuff already done.. See " you tube " video " 53 ford f 100 Marquette" for a video of it running. ( the sound always sounds weird on line)
