1940 FORD DELUXE COUPE The car started as a solid, all rust free, all Henry steel body & frame. Brand new cream and burgundy interior and matching trunk. "Frenched in" license plate (relocated from deck lid) and taillights. Nerf bars and new 15" Cragers for that 60's look Front suspension is TCI Mustang 2 w/tubular upper control arms. Rear is 10 bolt Chevy with leaf springs. Disc brakes on all 4 corners that stop on a dime. Chrome power steering pump. Rebuilt like new 727 automatic trans. The "crown jewel" is the engine: 1951 DeSoto 291 "baby" HEMI! Great block boiled, honed, decked, bored 30 over. New crank, rods, pistons, mild cam, etc., etc. heads freshened of course. Complete new build with only about 1,500 miles. (3) 2 bbl. carbs (runs really on the center one for economy, front and rear are "dumpers". Holley red elec. fuel pump. Car cruises at 75-80 without effort due to the gearing and Desoto Hemi. Runs very cool also. Chromed the valve covers and installed a dual plane vintage intake. Has an original Ford banjo steering wheel. SW gauges (all work) Lights and LED taillights & blinkers (all work).
