Here is a diamond in the rough. I spent several years searching for a rust-free 58-60 T Bird Convertible, and finally found one three years ago in Los Angeles. The car has had just three West Coast owners since new, There were two small rust holes through the rockers which were cut out and welded back in. The pads under the convertible top actuators were fractured so they were completely re-worked. /the floors still have the original factory primer on them. The body has been soda blasted and epoxy primed. Mild custom touches include a sunken antenna, nosed and decked, hood scoop extended one inch, door handle recesses filled and doors converted to electric release. The car is ready for paint. The bumpers were sent to John Wright`s Custom Chrome in Ohio. I spent over $8000 for the perfect set. All the trim is around the windshield is included and has been polished or re-plated. The car does need a windshield. The interior seats are completed as pictured and there is enough material to complete the side panels which are included. The car needs a new top. All top up & down mechanism`s are in good working order. The motor, transmission, radiator, drive train and rear suspension were re-built 12,000 miles ago. New Edelbrock valve covers, air cleaner are included. Battery is new. The tires are new Diamondbacks on Vintique chrome wheels. A set of dummy spots, lakes pipes and sunken antenna kit, custom tail lights, headlights are also included. I was going 1st class on this mild custom when I found out I have Stage 4 (non-smokers) lung cancer. My health is keeping me from finishing this car. As explained it needs a top, windshield, paint and some partial interior items to be a finished car. It`s a great driving car just waiting for a few items to be completed.
