Description of 1987 Ford F-350 XLT Lariat |
I have for sale a 1987 F350 Crew Cab XLT Lariat 4X4 Long Bed on new 35” BFG All Terrain Tires with a professionally rebuilt performance 460 motor. Transmission and Transfer case also professionally rebuilt and dyno tuned. It needs a paint job but the entire drive train is virtually brand new. The interior is in fair condition no rips or tears but it has a few stains and a little faded. No rust issues damage just minor surface rust mostly on drive line and axles, leaf springs, etc. I have done a lot to this truck and have receipts for pretty much everything. All new parts have less than 3500 miles on them. I will attempt to list everything I have done or have had done to this truck below. MOTOR - 9.5-1 compression. All cylinders compression test at 180psi - Short block (bottom end) built professionally by G&M Honest Performance in Federal Way, Washington - Block magnafluxed and decked. Bored 0.030 over - Block painted Ford Blue - Fully balanced and blue printed rotating assembly - Crank Polished - Forged Aluminum H-beam connecting rods - Forged Aluminum flat top dual valve relief pistons - Heavy duty Flex plate - Pro Comp Aluminum heads - Stainless Steel full roller rockers - Chrome Edelbrock valve covers - Weiand Stealth high rise aluminum intake - Holley 770cfm 4 barrel street carb w/ manual choke (professionally tuned by Turbo Technologies in Tacoma, Washington - K&N air filter - New oil pump - New belts ELECTRICAL - HEI Distributor w/ vacuum advance (timed and tuned at Turbo Technologies Tacoma, Washington) - New wires - New spark plugs - New Alternator - New Battery - New pos and neg battery wires - New high torque mini starter - New starter wire - New Heavy Duty starter relay switch - New passenger window motor - New driver side main switch for windows and door locks - All grounds polished - All wires protected with plastic tubing and or heat shielding ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM - Champion 4 core aluminum radiator (rated to cool up to 1000hp) - Dual 14” electric fans controlled by thermostat - Ledfoot Racing aluminum fan shroud - New upper and lower radiator hoses - New high flow mechanical water pump - New thermostat and thermostat housing - New Heavy Duty oil cooler - New Heavy Duty transmission cooler (needs to be installed but the original cooler on the truck still works perfectly. Intended to upgrade it when I did the rest of the cooling system and never got around to it) FUEL SYSTEM - Deleted mid-ship 19 gal tank and went to new single 38 gal tank in rear (no more famous ford dual tank switch failures) ;) - New fuel lines from tank all the way to motor - New in tank fuel pump TRANSMISSSION - C6 automatic transmission professionally rebuilt by Westsound Transmission Silverdale, Washington - New bell housing - Heavy Duty torque converter - Shift kit TRANSFER CASE - Borg Warner 1356 transfer case with PTO professionally rebuilt by Westsound Transmission Silverdale, Washington STEERING AND SUSPENSION - New power steering pump - New tie rods and tie rod ends - All new Bilstein shocks BRAKES - New front and rear brake lines - New brake master cylinder - New rear drums - New rear brakes - Front brakes still in good shape - Functional emergency brake EXHAUST - New coated exhaust manifolds - New custom 3.5” complete exhaust and muffler - Have an extra set of long tube headers I will include with truck 3/8” flange - All wires and lines near exhaust heat wrapped MISCELLANIOUS - All new 35” BFG all terrain tires with matching new spare - Large tool box in bed - Fiberglass canopy WITH KEY!!! - 5 gal jerry can - 4 front offroad lights wired with relays - 2 rear offroad lights wired with relays - Bed was replaced - 4:10 gears in the rear with posi-trac - All fluids including brake fluid, transmission fluid, engine oil, power steering fluid, antifreeze, gear oil in front and rear differentials have been flushed and replaced - Inspected gears in both front and rear differentials 3500 miles ago and found no noticeable wear and no metal shavings CONS - Needs to be painted - Interior is in ok condition but could use some TLC some oil stains on carpet - Has a cd player with aux but needs speakers - Medium size dent above the driver side headlight - No AC - Driver door electric door lock motor is bad (I have the part just needs installed) - Rear passenger door lock knob missing (but the electric lock still works) - Needs a tow hitch This is a well-built truck with tons of power. This truck would make a great show truck with just a paint job and a few touchups/cosmetics/TLC. Or keep it as is or slap a cheap paint job on it and it would make a great hunting rig, family camping truck, boat tower, or work truck. This truck has tons of power and is really only in need of a paint job and a few minor things. This truck is fully functional (minus the tow hitch) and ready to work. I have hauled wood with this truck, taken a couple loads to the dump, and done a few family camping trips in the mountains. This is a great truck and I hate to sell it. Our plans to get a large boat have changed and I no longer need this big of a truck. The only reason I am selling this is because I want to build a smaller wheeler instead. Thank you for looking. |
