Description of 1927 Ford Model T Fire Chief Car With Siren and Lights

This is a one-of-a-kind 27 "T" Fire Chief car. It was created some time back in the 1950's out of a mint original car. The same Volunteer Fire department also did a similar year Chevrolet Fire Truck, which is now on permanent display at the Palm Springs Air Force Museum. They were designed primarily as parade cars for a small fire department in Arizona, but then stored away. When the owner died, they were auctioned in a classic car auction and sold (in 1979) to a Chevrolet dealer in Fresno, CA, who amassed a collection of a couple of dozen mint condition cars, but died in 1998. The entire collection sat silently in a climate controlled warehouse, while the estate was litigated (for 17 more years). Finally, some of them are being offered for sale. This car is about as close to original mint condition as an 89 year old car with a 60 year old restoration could possibly be. It is also an absolute one of a kind crowd pleaser. The 6 volt siren screams. The giant 6 volt flood light lights the sky. After only minor repairs, the motor and transmission run like new. This is a desirable electric start car.
Here's a youtube video of its first maiden voyage in 34 years. Runs perfect and drives perfect.

This is an eminently driveable, totally one of a kind car in such amazing condition, that it is hard to describe, and impossible for this low tech guy to photograph effectively. It finished first in the 1970 Fresno Concours D'Elegance in the Antique Ford category. It looks just as good today as it did the day it won.
Call me for more information, history, just to chat, or whatever. I love this car and want it to end up in a loving home where it is cared for properly, but driven occasionally, too! 559-892-1941.
Car is currently located near San Bernardino, CA and can be shown by appointment. Good luck bidding for the ultimate Model T!
