Description of 1989 Ford Bronco II Eddie Bauer |
Selling my very clean 1989 Ford Bronco II. Odometer says 13K, I'm pretty sure that its 213K by now. Automatic transmission on the column, 4x4, push button shift and auto locking hubs. Great on snow and ice. If you've ever had a Bronco II you know what I'm talking about. These trucks were made for inclement weather! I bought the truck from a widow several years ago. I've had several of these over my lifetime. I love them and hate to sell this one. But I need the cash to buy a more suitable starter car for my teen daughter. (By the way, these trucks are very sensitive in the way they handle, having such a short turn radius. Not a great car to put a crazy teen in.) Engine and transmission run fine. I drive the truck weekly at times daily. Almost none of the typical lifter tick that these 2.9liter engines are famous for. Doesn't smoke or drip oil. Never been hot. Shifts through all the gears just like it's supposed to. Relatively new brakes. New battery. Interior is above average for its age. Seats are in excellent condition. See photos. Carpet is clean, no rips or tears, slightly stained here or there. Nothing serious. I replaced the sagging headliner a year or two back. AC is not working. Currently there is no belt to the compressor. I took it off since it was not cooling. The system has freon pressure. Compressor seemed to kick in. But it would not blow cold air. I just use the power windows and enjoy the fresh air. Speakers but no stereo or radio. Tires will easily pass State inspection but probably have only 10K miles or so left before they will need changing. Could probably use a front end alignment at the time of installing new tires. Paint is better than average for age. Some fading and oxidation here and there. NO MAJOR DENTS OF ANY KIND. A slight ding or chip here or there. There is small rust in front of the rear fenders only. One side has a small rusted out spot (about the size of a child's hand - see pic), the other rear fender has some rust bubbling under the paint, but no rust through. Under carriage is in good shape, only surface rust. This vehicle is definitely driveable home. I wouldn't drive it all the way to the west coast though. If you want to come out to Virginia and drive it home I can arrange to pick you up at the Charlottesville Virginia airport (CHO) or Amtrak station, if you'd like. Only serious bidders and inquiries. Don't waste my time. If you have under 10 feedback scores, don't bother bidding unless you contact me first. I've had two non-paying bidders when trying to sell another vehicle recently. There were only so many of these classic vehicles made, and even fewer still around. Don't even try to lowball me. I'll keep it before I'll give it away to somebody who wants to waste my time and everybody else's. I have done my best to accurately describe the vehicle. Check my 100% feedback. Bid with confidence. All that said, this is a 27 year old vehicle. There is no warranty expressed or implied. Feel free to ask questions. . |
