Description of 1941 Ford 1941 Ford Panel Truck/Van 3 door |
1941 Ford Panel / Custom Build Hot Rod Up for your consideration is my incredibly cool '41 Ford Custom built Hot Rod / Cruiser. I purchased this gem about 3years go with the intent to finish what the gentleman before me had started. Another build has my time, attention, and money so this one is going to a new home. I'm not quite sure where to begin todescribe all that has gone into this ride. Countless hours were spent on custom fabrication and modifications. I'll attempt to bulletpoint what I know, and if you haveadditional questions I'm happy to answer them to the best of my knowledge as well as take anyadditional photographsof anything you'd like to see inside oroutside. The van sits on a 1981 Datsun pick-up chassisThe Flat Head was rebuilt approximately 7 years agoEngine runs and has a great Flat Head rumbleCustom built Magnaflow exhaustNew Coker Classic tires / wheels / caps / trim ringsCustom fiberglass fenders (front and rear)Steel running boardsShaved door handlesRear barn doors welded together for customlift gate doorFront disc brakes / rear drumComfortable bucket seatsClassic brand dash gaugesMini Cooper headlightsWood bedHeavydutyaluminum radiatorHollycarburetorNew battery'49 Merc reartaillights No rust / solid top to bottom As you can see from the photos it's ready for the next person to take over and finish it how they'd like to. Body work is 95% there needing only a few finishing touches and blocking. There is NO glass. The interior is ready to finish how you want. The seats are in great shape and ready to be recovered in a nicenaugahyde or covering of your choice. The underneath is rock solid and done right. The exhaust is custom built from front to back. It runs enough to load it into a trailer but is notdrivable. The previous owner was inthe process ofcompleting the wiring when he could no longer work on it. All three doors need latches and interior door handles. The front suspension needs to be adjusted as the front tires rub the inner fender when turning. All in all, this is a very rareand very cool ride. There aren't many around like this and you'll most likely be the only one at the car show with one. I have several friends who are "old school"builders and they all love this panel. The previous owner was a gentleman who had built several customs over the years and this was the one he didn't get to finish before unexpectedly passing away. Whoever ends up with this one willdefinitely be the benefactor of lots of hard work, vision, and lots of invested dollars. The hard work is done .... body, suspension, engine and drivetrain, custom fabrication, etc... It just needs someone to bring it from third base into home. Please ask any questions before bidding. I'mhappy to discuss the truck onthe phone with serious buyers. Simply email me your phone number and I'll give you a call. Also, I can sendadditional photos of anythingserious buyers would like to see. Nothing to hide here, what you see is what you get. There's lot's ofmiscellaneous parts that will come with it aswell. I highly recommend that the buyerhave the van transported viaenclosed carrier. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I'm happy to help on my end to make sure all goes smoothly with your carrier. If you liverelatively close (within 800 miles of Salt Lake City) I will consider, for a fee, transporting the van to the new buyer in my enclosed trailer. Please do not bid unless you have the funds tocomplete the deal. Sold as is. |
