1966 MustangBeautiful! 60K original miles. Hi-po 289, C-4 auto trans, disc brakes, power steering, A/C, restored and largely original For sale is my beautiful 1966 Mustang Coupe. One of the nicest you’ll ever see and drive. 60,800 original miles. Original C-code 289 was professionally rebuilt to K-code hi-po specs at 30,000 miles. Hi-po 4-barrel double-pumper carburetor, hi-po air cleaner, Shelby monte-carlo bar and all correct engine bay markings. New alternator, regulator, and solenoid. Pertronix electronic ignition for trouble-free reliable starts. C-4 automatic transmission was recently serviced and shifts perfectly. Power steering w/new power steering pump. Power brakes with brand new front disc brake conversion—I recently had it professionaly converted for worry-free stopping—so now it’s not only fast, but stops on a dime. (Discs in front, drums in rear). The only thing better than a vintage hi-po Mustang is one that stops! Laser straight, dent-free, rust-free body. Paint is a gorgeous correct T-code candy apple red, I’d say a ‘7 out of a 10’ (10 being concour) with a beautiful mirror-like finish. Factory A/C and original correct black ‘standard’ interior with “comfort weave” seats in excellent condition. All gauges work properly. Original AM radio replaced with Kenwood/Sony stereo CD system. (I have the original factory radio if you’d want to put it back in). Shelby-spec racing springs for a slightly more aggressive stance and ride. Dyna-flow dual exhausts for a great-sounding rumble. Backup lights. Steel-styled wheels and new BFG Radial T/A’s (full matching spare in correctly detailed trunk.) I also have the owner’s manual from the original owner. I have pampered it and garage kept it and only drove it on Sundays on perfect days on quiet rural roads and old Route 66. Its a head-turner wherever it goes. Extremely reliable, fast, and safe (thanks to the new front disc brakes). I relived my teenage memory (my first car was a ‘66 Mustang) and can confidently pass this beautifully restored iconic piece of American automotive history on to the next Mustang officianado whether young or old knowing you will get as much fun and trouble-free driving as I have, whether as a daily driver or a Sunday cruiser. I’m only asking to get what I paid for it (from one of the most renowned classic car dealers in the country), not including the cost of improvements and disc brake conversion I had done for my piece of mind—and yours. A huge plus! All questions and inspections welcomed.
