Description of 1966 Ford Mustang GT |
CONDITION: Complete, new restoration. Original and newly rebuilt engine, transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, interior, paint, tires, undercarriage, exhaust system, chrome, etc, etc, etc. The engine and transmission aren't just date-code correct....they ARE the actual ones that came off the assembly line in this car 50 years ago! FEATURES: Even has the original metal carburetor tag, intake manifold tag, steering gearbox tag, and transmission tag. All wood grain interior including the 4-speed console. Interior is the beautiful '66 Red with the Wimbledon White painted exterior. Has new dual red line Goodyear tires with the GT Styled Wheels and beauty rings. Also has the correct GT striping on the sides along with the dual driving lights in the grill, A-Code 289 4V engine, front disc brakes, and GT Trumpets exhaust through the rear valence. HISTORY: We are the presumed 2nd owner of the car and have owned it since 1983. It was a garage find that was completely untouched until we bought it in 1983. You will NOT find a car with more of its original parts on it than this one has. We have upgraded a few items for safety, however, we do still have the original parts to go with the car. They are: 4-core aluminum radiator and overflow tank for eliminating overheating in traffic with a/c on, MSD electronic ignition system for better driving reliability and performance, headrests in the front seats in the event of a rear-end collision, power booster on the brake system for enhanced braking power, monte carlo bar and one-piece export brace for shock tower stability. If you have been looking for a 1st generation Mustang, you won't find anything nicer and more original than this one. We have owned this car for the last 33 years and I can honestly say I believe it is nicer and prettier than it ever has been, including when it came off the assembly line to the dealer showroom! It's build date was August 04, 1966 which made it one of the very last ones to be made of this body style, too. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: Once payment is received and confirmed, we will sign over the title and provide to the buyer. The buyer will be able to have their preferred delivery/transport method, at their cost, pick up the vehicle from my house and go through whatever channels the buyer deems necessary to get the vehicle safely back to them in their possession. |
