At car shows I am usually surrounded by 65and 66 Mustangs. I am usually the only Falcon convertible. Not everyone might have owned a Mustang but it seemed everyone had a Falcon. In 1965 ford replaced the generator with an alternator. They also put in a dual master cylinder. The wheels are 14" with 1965 Fairlane hubcaps on whitewall radials. This car starts on the twist of the key. It runs very cool and has an overflow reservoir. I am always asked is it a 6 or an 8 cylinder. I decided to have a one in two out muffler installed. It idles like a motorboat and has a deep throaty sound cruising down the roadThere are many new parts. Including Gas tank, Fuel pump, gas tank sender, new starter, new solinid. Many parts are from 65 Mustangs which is what the mechanicals on this car are. There is a brand new spare and the trunk is immaculate with the brand new checkered mat. If I were going to haul passengers in the back seat I would consider new rear springs. As my wife and I are up front it has not been a problem. Suspension is tight and so is steering. it has had a recent alignment..This is a 51 year old car that drives like the 1960's. It's not perfect. There is always something to tinker with or adjust. If it sits for awhile there will be a few drips I would feel confident to drive this anywhere. It can maintain high way speeds comfortably. If you are new to the old car hobby you may not be aware how important a rust free solid all metal body is. Most mechanical problems are fixable by any number of skills. The paint on this car gets the most complements. There are a few hard to notice chips and small retouches. The keys do not fit the door locks but do fit the trunkAs much as I have enjoyed owning this car I am like a lot of Old Car Hobby people. Always looking over my shoulder for a possible new adventure, This car could not be duplicated for it's selling price
