Description of 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA |
***I HAVE RELISTED THIS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THERE WAS A TYPO IN THE YEAR. DEFINITELY A 1967 MODEL. THANK YOU FOR POINTING THAT OUT YESTERDAY. Fresh from storage. A GTA Fairlane with the 390 4V and C6.See the Marti report in photos. This car is very original but will need restoration. It was not running when we got it to the shop, but quicklywe added fresh gas and a new battery and got it to run. It is what I calla "lot driver". It starts, runs and moves but will need further tuneup andmechanical work to get to a good road test. The brakes were stuck. Wenow have partial brakes. The trans is slow but the car moves. Probably needsa filter and fluid change. Motor does not smoke, but the carb will definitely need a rebuild and some noise possibly valve chatter. It was a factory vinyl top car. Power Steering and Light Group for options. The trunk is very solid but both the lower quarters will need replacing. The floors seem solid but the front driver side fender has some filler and willneed work or replacing. Driver's door will need work. (Shown in photo) The doors shut good. This is a great start for a project with a car that has a very high upper bookvalue. It is console delete and has what appears to be the factory column shift.I have owned many Fairlanes but this is my first GTA. They are hard to come by at a reasonable price. This is an auction, but the reserve is not in the stratosphere. Very affordable start for a rare care. Note: It does have the GTA badges on the trunk and on the lower fenders.Plan to take more photos today. Thank you for looking. |
